This Apple Watch is ok. I gave it five stars because it's no surprise that you're getting what you're buying. It's a 5+ years old watch and it doesn't even update to the latest version of WatchOS. And that's just forgetting the battery. It had 82% battery capacity when I got it but the charge isn't a big issue. It last a whole day. I bought this watch because it has cellular connectivity so I can make phone calls on it but don't expect many great feature since the software is out of date. But if you want something that can make and respond to texts or make phone calls this one is the best for you. The heart rate monitor works and the sleep tracking function seems to work fine. I bought this watch as a Christmas present for my son in December 2025. It's now June 2026, and the battery is not only failing, but burning my son's wrist in the process. A few weeks ago, the watch started shutting down unexpectedly while the battery still showed plenty of charge. It would not start back up unless it was put on the charger, but once it was, the battery percentage would be just fine. I was frustrated by that. Then, a week ago, a bright red burn mark formed on my son's wrist, directly under the watch. (I didn't think to take a photo of it until today, so the attached image is what it looks like after a week of NOT wearing the watch.) He's been wearing the watch daily since December without concern, so this wasn't an allergic reaction. This was a burn from an overheating battery. So not only did this company ship a watch with a failing battery, but also one that is probably counterfeit or otherwise compromised in a way that is actually dangerous. I contacted Amazon about the issue and after making it clear that this was a product SAFETY issue, they had the seller issue me a full refund (most of which will go toward getting Apple to replace the battery with a legitimate one). While I appreciate the refund, I definitely won't be trusting "Amazon Renewed" products anymore. They clearly don't have any kind of real quality control in place. Don't buy this. ... show more

    • Reconditioned kid’s Apple Watch
First Apple Watch for my 12 yr old. Didn’t want to get a new one yet. Will see how he takes care of this one. The battery isn’t optimum, there’s a test you can find online to see what the charging capability is. His tested little low, but it works fine and we can track him when he’s out with friends.
