    • Great option for my 11 year old.
We wanted a watch not a phone. This provides what he needs (ability to message and call and be located) but has the ability to do more later. We can set school time hours for the school year so messages don’t get through - except from parents, but can easily make adjustments to that for things like field day or early release. Downtime hours are set for evening as well. It isn’t an internet browser (yay) but does send and receive gifs. This watch does not have all of the health metrics a # series does but he doesn’t need that. It does steps and heart and workouts etc. it doesn’t track blood O2 or arrhythmias which is fine. As much as I think apple is pretty intuitive as a company for set up- that is less so when setting up a family watch. I googled a lot of things. Including how to get parent messages to break through school time. Not intuitive. And it can’t play music if not linked to its own phone. Oh well. Overall works great for a middle schooler. Helps us hold off on a phone longer than purchasing a different brand kid watch. We’ve had it for 3-4 months. It does need daily charging. ... show more

Works as intended. Don't break the glass face. It will cost you $10 more to replace the glass face than what it costs to buy this watch. Crazy. I learned the hard way. Trust me when I say, if you buy this, buy protective covers for it too and put them on as soon as you take the watch out of the box!!! ... show more

First watch we ordered arrived not working (they had to have known since it was the Digital Crown that didn’t work). Had to try again. Second one we got from Chubbiestech. ##One thing note is that this didn’t come with a watch band even though it says it does- I didn’t care because I ordered a bunch of different ones but you might want to have one on hand. Other than that, perfect condition easy to figure out who cares about the packaging it was a great deal!!!

I’ve showered with this on, taken baths with it on, and all seems well so far. I know that there are some things that can’t be 100% accurate with this type of product but I’ve really looked at the data thoughtfully and in different situations and I am satisfied with the step counter and heart rate monitor. These are the features that matter to me the most. The sleep data is interesting but after a week of checking in on that, I don’t need to know much more. We all know more sleep is better for us and we likely don’t get enough. I don’t need the Apple Watch to tell me that. Seeing my REM and Deep sleep info was interesting but not the selling point for me. I use the watch to keep me honest about my daily movement. I’m a couch potato by nature so this has been a great way for me to hold myself accountable to being a bit more active. I definitely extend my walks a little longer, and control my breathing better when doing strenuous activities since I’ve had the watch. Being able to shoot a quick text back to someone on my watch is also nice. While there is no Facebook messenger app for the watch, I can also reply to Facebook messages that I am notified with through the watch. ... show more
