I initially bought two of these. One for me and my 9 year old but had to return the second pair because I previously bought iwatches from a different seller. I was told they are lost in transit after two weeks so I went ahead and get these from Amazon. Lo and behold, those lost watches arrived while this order is in transit. The seller told me to keep the watches but when these arrived, my son decided that he doesn’t want the starlight watch and wants this shiny black one. lol Anyway, I only activated one of them and had to return the other. As per usual.. the initial set up takes forever but after all that step, the watch works well. As you can see, the battery is 100% capacity. Appearance: theres minimal scratches but nothing that stands out or can be considered as an eyesore . Connection: I have yet to turn on the cellular data on this thing so I can’t say anything about that yet but as far as WiFi.. it connects well. My son used it a lot last night to play with the walkie talkie. Messages sent through WiFi arrives fast.. so are the calls. Speaker and microphone works well. Features: As mentioned, my son absolutely loves the walkie talkie app. He was sending both me and his Dad some texts using the WiFi connectivity. Made calls. It’s set up as a kid account so there’s limited features in there than you would usually have as an adult. As a parent though.. I love that it has a school time feature that allows me to lock his watch whenever he is in school. Actually, I like ALL of the parental controls in this thing. Durability: it’s made of ionX glass. While it claims to be durable, it is still made out of glass. It can scratch easily and will shatter with impact. As this is set up as a child watch.. I went ahead and bought him a protective case. The watch band that came with it is a little flimsy but you can always get new ones here anyway.. and cheap. The charger cord that came with it is a USB-A which has its pros and cons. USB-A is still very popular and can come in handy especially when traveling. however, it charges slower than USB-C chargers. If that is something you don’t want to deal with, you can always buy a better charger here. Overall, he is very happy with this watch.     • Capable watch for the price, perfect for kids
Searched for a smart watch that'd be capable of making and receiving calls, as well as GPS tracking so we could track our son when he's around the neighborhood or at friends houses. After looking into brands designed specifically for children, they were all priced a lot higher than I'd expected for GPS, cellular, and texts. Decided to look into a Renewed SE 2, and for a higher price than those other options (about $30-$40 more), we got a watch for our existing Apple ecosystem, his watch can unlock our NFC latches and deadbolts (added him as a guest to the house in Apple Home) with door access, integrates perfectly into Find My, and makes cellular calls that work with his existing Apple account that he has for his iPad already. We expect this to last probably 4-5 years, after which he's probably going to beg us for an iPhone anyway. Was a little challenging to get this to work entirely as expected; this is a watch for a kid who doesn't have their own iPhone so it's not a typical setup. It took a while for everything to probably sync up behind the scenes, but *eventually* by the end of the day FaceTime calls went to both his watch and iPad. Adding it to our cellular service was a breeze (we use Verizon). Didn't even need to make a call or visit the store. I got a new phone number through their website and had the watch added to our existing account for just $5 more per month -- hopefully other carriers are as seamless and low priced. ... show more

First watch we ordered arrived not working (they had to have known since it was the Digital Crown that didn’t work). Had to try again. Second one we got from Chubbiestech.     • Great option for my 11 year old.
We wanted a watch not a phone. This provides what he needs (ability to message and call and be located) but has the ability to do more later. We can set school time hours for the school year so messages don’t get through - except from parents, but can easily make adjustments to that for things like field day or early release. Downtime hours are set for evening as well. It isn’t an internet browser (yay) but does send and receive gifs. This watch does not have all of the health metrics a # series does but he doesn’t need that. It does steps and heart and workouts etc. it doesn’t track blood O2 or arrhythmias which is fine. As much as I think apple is pretty intuitive as a company for set up- that is less so when setting up a family watch. I googled a lot of things. Including how to get parent messages to break through school time. Not intuitive. And it can’t play music if not linked to its own phone. Oh well. Overall works great for a middle schooler. Helps us hold off on a phone longer than purchasing a different brand kid watch. We’ve had it for 3-4 months. It does need daily charging. ... show more

Not too bad, took a while to charge but as you can see it came with scratches. Although I wasn’t expecting anything brand new since it’s refurbished, some clean up would’ve been nice. The product itself though works well but a little slow.
