Recently received Apple TV(used) as a gift....this book has helped immensely...since the closest Apple Store is nearly 90 miles away. I have been a devotee of the "Dummies" books for years. This one met all my expectations.

    • It's a good gift to wrap when gifting an Apple TV
I don't actually buy the technology in our family; this was something to wrap up for my hubby. No body has actually read the book; and he decided to go with a PS3 instead because it does everything he wanted Apple TV to do and more (blueray, streaming movies from server...) I am only rating it 3 stars cause the book is physicaly smaller than I expected. LOL ... show more

Unless you have an older version of Apple TV, be advised that this book does not describe the current Apple TV.

This was not much help. I am not sure why I even got Apple TV because I do not watch that many movies.

This book is about as good as the manual you get with the Apple TV product itself. It is too simplistic and doesn't really cover anything new. I liked the Apple TV Pocket Guide much better. I can't recommend this book unless you get it at a discounted price.
