I recently purchased an Iphone XR after being a long time Android user. I've always had a phone with a removable battery, and I've always used aftermarket extended capacity batteries for my devices as they get considerable use. In researching my options for a case that would add capacity to the Iphone's sealed design, I settled on this one. I received my new smart battery case on Tuesday, installed it Tuesday after work and charged it up. Disconnected from the charger, and it's been running on the case since. The case's battery just depleted this morning so I figure in the ball park of 30 hours or so, and now I'm working off the phones' battery which is still at 100%. I'm going to allow the phone to deplete completely now, and get a nice full charge cycle on both the phone and case. The case being an Apple product, is very well made. I found the phone to be very slippery all on its' own, IMHO. This case adds a silky matte texture and complements the phone very well. The inside is a very soft velvety material which will protect the phone, and the outside doesn't smudge too badly (unless you have very oily skin) and cleans up very nicely. I'm a big guy, with big hands and I do not find this case to be bulky at all. It adds a very comfortable feel and weight to the handset. This case offers true lightening cable connectivity so it is compatible with any Lightening accessory you would normally attach directly to the phone. Headphones, adapters, etc. Most of the other battery case offerings either supported QI charging, OR being able to have audio pass through via the lightening connector, but NOT BOTH. This was a very frustrating point for me. This was also a big part of what lead me to swallow the price tag a little easier, because it covered all bases. Also - you can enable a widget on your phone that will show both the battery charge level, and the case level separately. I like this feature. The phone will also display this information briefly on the main screen when connecting the charger and again when removing it. I do not have my QI charger yet, but this also supports the QI charging standard and look forward to that flexibility as well. This case is pricey, but so far is exceeding my expectations. It is also a genuine Apple product, so no questions regarding warranty issues if there were to be a problem that would potentially affect the phone. (vs using a 3rd party item) ... show more

The Apple Battery Case here its an amazing product in my opinion... I personally like the silicon on this case and with the integration To IOS, and the efficiency behind the case, it’s a perfectly great ideal to buy one .. I would say despite the price it’s worth it.. and it’s very durable it will protect your iPhone pretty well. The battery is (1369) batteries (but it is 2-batteries of that size) in the case and it’s output is even more effective so your getting an efficient size battery with and IPhone that has an exceptional battery life in itself... This is a Winner for anyone who Purchases this Case.. I Strongly Recommend this Apple Battery Case. ... show more

First, it has a lightning port on the bottom. Other brands have mini usb and the port fails before anything else goes wrong. Others I have used the switch goes and renders it useless. This is a switchless “smart” case. It tracks your usage and “learns” when it needs to turn on to recharge your phone. A display will pop up and tell you how much you have on your phone and the battery pac. I get longer use time than I did with other cases. Worth the extra money if you are a power user. I don’t see how people can use an iPhone with out a case. Too slippery and vulnerable. This provides protection from casual drops and improves gripability as others do as well ... show more

I am very pleased with this Charging Case case. I have bought several inexpensive non-namebrand chargers off Amazon and while they do the job initially they do not work very well after about 5 to 6 months. I have had this one almost a year and it is still working fine. The only slight negative about this case is that you cannot turn it off but appreciate how it integrates with iPhone software. ... show more

Phone fell out of my lap and off my gym bag. Saved by rugged build. Good grip so phone doesn’t slip from your hand. After 24 hrs and much podcasting, still phone still had a lot of juice. Forgot my power cord on a weekend trip and survived with some juice left over. Awesome buy.

I love the Apple smart battery case. It is nice to NEVER run out of battery during my busy day. I used Mophie’s in the past and was happy initially. The last one had a smooth finish and tended to be slippery and was easily dropped or slipped off of surfaces which was a bother. The case is amazing and essentially doubles the battery life of my phone. Less than a week later the case stopped charging. It is not responsive and no indicator light is appearing after trying multiple Apple chargers. The case was not dropped or exposed to any water or excessive heat. The seller stated that because the manufacturer packaging was damaged upon opening the case, they could not give me any sort of refund or exchange.
