  • A true work horse
Style: Intel Core i5 Capacity: 256GB Color: Space Gray
I use this Mac for my business and I take it every where. The battery life is great and it is one of the first computers of any kind that I actually like using the trackpad enough that I dont carry a mouse around with it. That may seem like a small thing but when all I have to do is put this in a carrying sleeve that can fit in a backpack or larger purse it really makes a difference in space and time. Sometimes I forget to charge the battery for days and it isnt a problem. For giggles I did play a few games on it.. eh.. I deleted them. It ran things that I was suprised it could but it isnt optimal. I do use this Mac for design and it does great. No problems with the Adobe products and it has done decently with Unity. Programing is really nice on this puppy. I never thought I would like Visual Studio on a Mac better than I like it on a PC. On the PC I typically just use Atom or even Note++ for code but on the Mac Visual Studio ran great right out of the box and I didnt want to pull my hair out and scream in rage. The newer side-by-side OS update to use my Ipad pro as a second screen has also made it possible not to pack up my drawing tablet and has made me a truely mobile office. great buy. ... show more

  • Great Laptop best of the many Macbooks I've owned
This is the fifth Apple laptop I've owned starting with the colorful plastic clamshell twenty-some years ago. This MacBook Pro 13" without "touch bar" is absolutely the best of the five. It's light, sturdy, powerful, extremely fast, and very comfortable to use. Keyboards are personal, and this one has had some negatives in the press, but I love it and didn't have a minute's adjustment period -- plenty of tactile feedback and for me best of all it actually sounds like I'm typing. The screen is vivid, bright and clear, very easy on my seventy-one year old eyes. This is the least expensive Mac laptop I've ever bought, but it has a better "feel" and build than the ones I paid over two thousand dollars to own. Much better balance, speed, and brightness than the latest MacBook Air I tried out in a Best Buy until I got some, "Please go away, old man." from the blue shirts guarding the Apple section. My twelve year old granddaughter, who is a serious student, picked it up and immediately went to work without a pause. ... show more

  • Never owned a MacBook Pro
Style: Intel Core i5 Capacity: 128GB Color: Silver
I’ve been windows from day one and was iPhone/iPad all the same. Never thought twice about buying into the Apple OS world because of their outrageous prices until windows got on my last nerve. I researched for a while, I think I was trying to justify why I was changing over. Lol Once I made my decision I was sold. I chose the 13” MacBook Pro without the touch bar. The touch bar is a joke and I was not buying into it. Received it on time and was pleasantly surprised it was brand new. I’m not a gamer or heavily involved in graphic design but I have been a CorelDraw user since the 4 version (updated to 10) for design and photos due to my hobby. Corel still does not support most of its software which is sad but I was glad to let them go. With that said, as a newbie, the Apple OS is very impressive! I am a serious fb user due to admin’ing close to 10 support groups. Having all my files transfer from my iPad to the Mac was four steps I didn’t have to go through with windows. I’m a newbie and still learning the ins and outs but everything I discover is awesome. If you are a light laptop user working with windows and use an iPhone or iPad I highly recommend it. Read others experiences because I have no knowledge the depth of the Apple experience. What I am discovering is one less road I don’t have to do with windows. Embarrassed to say, lol, I’ll buy another Mac when I have to. Sometimes you just have to give in. :) Bottom line, sellers response was quick, product was was excellent and I am very pleased with the whole experience. ... show more

  • A Pretty decent buy but not the BEST one
Style: Intel Core i5 Capacity: 128GB Color: Space Gray
A friend of mine who recently lost her laptop. To ensure she could get back to work soon, I gave this machine to her to resume everything quickly. Though, I am a 15years ThinkPad fan. She insists to get Apple. Then, NVM, this is the cheapest that I could find. And I would say I would give it 4/5 review. Pro: 1. Very very good nit, I mean 500nit+ more in a practical situation means you can see everything crispy clear. I suppose it would even beyond X1C6's Dolby Vision. Superior. 2. Super fast USB3.1, I mean 500MB/s with my Super-Drive, this is incredible. 3. Not ugly. Since it gave to her, it cannot be an ugly one. Apple is not the prettiest one like Fujitsu or VAIO, but it is among the most beautiful machines in the world. Con: 1. Poor battery life, within 6hours, it died. I mean, I use my ThinkPad X270 as a comparison, these 2 machines were launched in the same year. 270 lost less than 40% and MBP13 already died. What a ludicrous thing. 2. Annoying keyboard noise. Apple engineers should consider their users may use their machine in a library. I felt akward as I typed its keyboard. 3. Little bad performance. I mean 7360U should perform better than looks like. it feels even slower than 7300U based X270. Which is weird. (270 only has half speed NVMe versus MBP13, I am wondering maybe faulted by 128GB vs 256GB) 4. Heavy, a 13.3in machine weigh 1.37kg is a facepalm thing. Fujitsu or VAIO made their machine less than 1kg and maintain full set I/O, LG even have 72Wh battery. Anyway, girls love Apple. lol Generally, I would still say, it is a good machine that you should consider, if you do not mind, please buy an external battery pack for it, you would need it .6hours is very little juice. That's all I want to say. ... show more
