Too old not enough internal space
It would be a total waste of money to purchase an iPhone SE 16GB! A: it probably will not be able to be updated to current iOS. B: even if it is, the average iOS update is 7-8GB. So that said, half of your device storage will be taken up by operating system. So if you’re the kind of person who likes to keep photos, videos, apps or anything that takes up space on your device, you be very disappointed in this purchase. In case no one has looked lately, pretty sure most of apples newer iOS devices have a starting storage of 128GB’s. I personally believe that every device should be a minimum 256GB starting tier. Especially considering that people have been using these devices for years now, and most of us keep a lot of different data, media and apps on our devices! Honestly I can’t live with 256GB in 2025, but I’m not big on taking a lot of pics or videos that I plan on keeping. I used to keep my whole movie library on device, but that’s impossible now because I’m pretty sure with everything else and all the digital movies I purchased it would probably take a device with 2TB storage to hold all of it! But I choose to keep only a few movies that I really like on device in case I find myself in a situation where I might wanna watch a movie to pass time or entertain myself or someone else in a pinch. I’ve had an iPhone since the iPhone 4 I purchased in 2011 I believe. Then I’ve had a 5, 6, 6S, 7, 8, X, XS, 12 Pro Max, 14 Pro Max, 15 Pro Max and 16 Plus. The last two are the current phones I’m using because I’m a business owner and have had 2 phones for several years now! I Hope this review helps people not waste their money and regret their purchase, not to mention have a bad experience with an apple product. Which would obviously push people away from an excellent product line and excellent company that really takes care of their customers and tries to offer good quality products at all price levels. Honestly if I was looking to purchase an “SE” level phone, I’d get the new one 16E “gen 4”. I believe even though it’s a little more pricey it’s actually just as good as the 16 flagship phones for $200 or more cheaper! Otherwise I’d get a refurbished Pro model no older than like an iPhone 13 Pro Max. Those are available for around $350-$550 depending on condition and storage space. Taking advantage of Apple not putting a number after SE
This is a first gen iPhone SE which looks great, but is basically useless so buyers beware and only look for 2022 or 3rd gen.
