I received my iPhone SE3 2022 64GB Starlight today. So far it looks and behaves new. I have not activated it yet. Only transferred my settings and tested non-cellular data features. An IMPORTANT NOTE The camera shutter is very loud. (probably a 5 on a 1-10 phone volume scale, but loud to me) Everything I tried to turn it down, shut it off did NOT work. I thought something was wrong with the silent button/volume controls. I did try the timer alarm and those controls worked ok there, so it seemed specific to the camera. I checked the camera settings. I checked the accessibility settings. I was getting VERY frustrated. . . until in Japan and Korea it is illegal to turn off the shutter sound. So I checked my model number (settings > general > about) and sure enough this is a Japanese version - A2782 MMYD3J/A (you can find country specific model information on the website techwalls) So there is NOT an easy way. It is defaulted to shutter sound on and defaulted to that particular volume. However, there is a workaround. You can turn on live view and then the shutter sound is off. I don't know what else this will impact (ie the quality of the photo? the size of the file? the file type?) I will update as I figure it out For me this is not a deal breaker (so far) since I saved about $200 for essentially a new phone. But be advised, it is NOT broken, so returning it for another one may just get you the same issue. And hopefully this will save you some time understanding what is going on. Also for this model it does not support: FDD-LTE band 14, 29 or 71 14 used by AT&T (Cricket) US - but most commonly for emergency services 14 used by FirstNet Puerto Rico & Virgin Islands 29 used by AT&T (Cricket) US 71 used by CellularOne NE Arizona 5G NR band n29 or n71 n71 used by T-mobile US Superb customer service. Outstanding device quality. Will update if I find any operational issues.

I’ve had this renewed premium iPhone SE 3rd Generation phone for just over a week and just love it. I replaced an iPhone 8 Plus that I had for over 7 years. It wasn’t getting updates anymore, and I specifically waited for October Prime Days to buy a replacement that was compatible, so that it would be an easy transition for me. Because I have an Amazon Credit Card, I was able to purchase it on a 0% interest 6-month payment plan, making the deal even more attractive and valuable. It came without any scratches or blemishes and with 90% battery too. The Starlight color is nice, clean and simple. I knew that this renewed premium phone would be a bit smaller than my old phone, which is fine for me; especially because it fits comfortably in one hand and is light. It is easy to use, and I love that it’s the last iPhone made with the home button and physical SIM card tray. I just popped out my SIM card from my old phone and popped it into this one. I like that it will convert the SIM card into an eSIM for whenever I need to buy my next iPhone. I’ll be getting updates for a few years, and I saved a lot of money buying this iPhone here on Amazon. I bought a separate clear case that is also a screen protector and will help with durability. Transferring everything from my old phone over to this one was super easy too.

Phone arrived with silent mode on/off toggle switch broken. Lots of wasted time before realizing why phone ringer was silent. Seems like this should have been checked before sending.

UPDATE: 3/26/26 - I ordered another "refurbished premium" iPhone SE3 (Amazon was seller) and took it to Best Buy for inspection. One of the screws are not OEM Apple screw head pattern so their tool wouldn't work to remove the cover if it ever needed serviced! So far I'm not having good luck with the "refurbished premium" phones if one is looking to be able to ever have it serviced at a Best Buy. Also this one came from Apple as the seller and there was no instructions, charger block or SIM card tool included. I returned the phone same day and I'm waiting for a refund. I am still deciding whether or not to keep the first refurbished phone with the 85% battery health. I will update again once I decide UPDATE: 3/24/26 - I've had the phone six months. The phone still works great but the battery life has gone down to 85% and I don't use many apps or battery draining settings. The seller has offered to refund me for a replacement battery so I took the phone to Best Buy to have the battery replaced. The problem I encountered is the screws that hold the cover on are stripped and the technician cannot access the battery! I have messaged the seller to see how to proceed as this phone is a premium refurbished phone and should not have come with stripped screws! I will update once the seller advises how to proceed. THE SELLER HAS MESSAGED that they will send a return label if I decide not to keep this refurbished premium phone. ORIGINAL REVIEW: The phone itself is in excellent condition and seems to work well. I've only had it activated for about three weeks. The only concern so far is the battery is already at 91% and it was 95% when I received the phone. I'm hoping the battery will last and I'm not sure if this is normal or not.

Buy it, buy it, buy it. Yes, yes, yes. I can't believe how this cell phone costs 1/4 the price of a new one yet looks and functions as if it were! excellent condition, no scratch on it, no dust in the charging port, and no marks anywhere. I spent multiple days comparing several devices and sellers b/c I want/must carry small phones for ease and comfort for my hands, pockets, and general life usage. Have a Samsung S24, huge, had an Apple 4.7" 10 years ago, compared all sides of the equation for a new device b/c I'm sick of carrying cells, aka "bricks", that won't fit in my pockets or purse, cup holders in my John Deere tractor, Husq Zero Turn, and Ford Explorer (Eddie Bauer edition with leather seat that is now damaged where the back pocket connects with the seat cushion and cell phone that stuck out when I hopped up into the truck and forgot about the darn "brick pocket' situation I had going on back there. Amazon is phenomenal, you did a great big favor selling me this phone for roughly 1/4 the cost of one from Apple, and thank you Apple for partnering with Amazon and selling so many in bulk because of potential;y that's how I was able to secure one for less than $150. I got the wall charger, power cord, and a white phone in mint condition. This product is amazing, highly recommend it. Oh- and it will fit in my purse, on the dashboard phone holder contraption without breaking my vent, and doesn't fall out of pockets on the front, side, or back THANKS AMAZON! Finally, my poor little hands thank you as well, now they won't be forced to stretch to the outer limits just to use the phone.
