I was hesitant to try another seller for another refurbished iPhone, as my other two purchases with other retailers were terrible experiences (Black Market and Noble Planet via WalMart), so I actually expected to have to send this one back as well. Order arrived much sooner than anticipated, it arrived unharmed and excellent cosmetic condition. The issue I had with the previous phones I purchased was the ear piece speaker (when making phone calls) being so low I could barely hear the person on the line, I had sent the phones back for replacements, Black Market just issued me a refund and Noble Planet claimed they sent a new phone but is was just the same one (same IMEI#) with a different serial number. Soo.. I had to switch my service plan over to this phone to test it, and while the ear piece speaker volume is low and a little muffled, it appears this is a common problem with refurbished iPhones. I took it to an Apple store and the tech did a diagnostic on it, telling me the entire screen will need to be replaced as with Apple products "nothing is easy," giving me an estimate of $225-275 to replace it - more than I paid for the phone. I contemplated whether I really wanted to keep it, as I purchased the 245gb specifically for keeping the phone a while, meaning I would eventually have to pay this large cost and replace the screen OR send another phone back and wait for a replacement (and hope I do indeed get a replacement) or just give up and buy another Android. I opted to keep the phone as the speaker is OK for now, and I'll just save for the repair at a later time. All in all, either I have bad luck with phones or this is just how refurbished phones go. Oddly enough, I purchased my husband's phone from this seller first, and his ear piece speaker is in much better condition than mine. So, maybe I do just have bad luck. Sigh.

Sooooo, even though the phone is now working great, I am giving a 4 star rating. I was going to give a 3 for the work time (5 hrs) that was lost figuring out the issue and getting it taken care of. The phone is in excellent shape. However, it did not come updated. The replacement phone, 8+, had the 15.4 update, my 7+ has the 15.7.3 update. The problem was because the 7+ is on a higher update than the 8+ and the 8+ would not take the backed-up info from the cloud without being updated. This is where the real fun begins. I had to then download iTunes to my computer and hook my phone up to the computer as well. After 1 1/2 hours of errors, corrupted downloads, etc, I was finally able to update the 8+ to the newest update of the 16.3.1. The reason these extra steps had to be taken is due to an error that kept being received from the phone itself. Needless to say, it was all unnecessary had the seller bothered to update the phone. Anywho, I now have a phone that actually works and doesn't make sizzling noises through the speakers because the cats keep knocking it on the floor. LOL My poor 7+ did me well for years, but it was time for a small upgrade. Other than that hassle the 8+ phone works great. Now that it is updated, all of my information from the 7+ is now on the 8+ and I am glad that I did not lose all of my photos and apps. It looks great and I plan to keep it that way in the military grade case that it is in. lol

The phone arrived ahead of schedule. It looks brand new. And most importantly to this 87 year old woman, it was easy to get my stuff transferred from my old iPhone 7Plus to this iPhone 8Plus. I even dropped the tiny SIM card when I went to transfer it from the old phone to the new one. I didn't have a clue which was the top or bottom or which end went in first. But I got it right on the 2nd try. It only took about 20 minutes to download everything to the new phone. It even downloaded my personalized background image to the new phone. If I can do it, you can do it! I was careful to select a renewed phone that was rated as being in "Excellent Condition." That was more important to me than the color. I did have a few scary moments: I tried to send a Text message and it didn't go. Tried about a dozen times. I followed a principle I've used for many years - if all else fails, REBOOT! I did that, and the message went automatically when it came back up. Hope that helps somebody. I'd recommend these renewed phones to anybody.

First time I’ve ever purchased a used phone from Amazon, or anywhere for that matter. Of course I had the usual suspicions, is it any good, is it stolen and all the rest of it. But, so far so good. Arrived ahead of time in the condition described. Very good condition actually, not banged up at all. Was refurbished back to factory settings, had the charger with it and everything else as described and from what I can tell so far, the battery life is good. I’ve only had it a couple days, so, not much more I can say than that. 👍🏽‘S up so far.

You never really know what you are going to get with a refurbished phone, but the deal is worth the risk. I’ve bought refurbished phones through Amazon over the years for myself and family members. A few needed to be returned, but for the most part we were usually satisfied. But this time? Granted I’ve only had the phone for a day, but it’s nicer than I expected. When they said excellent condition, they meant excellent! In every way. It’s basically brand new. No blemishes. Functions beautifully. Battery health is superb. Was unlocked like advertised. And on top of all that, it arrived earlier than expected. I’m thrilled I stuck with the iPhone I like, the 8plus, and didn’t make the jump to the newer phones yet. This one is perfect!

The phone wasn’t wrapped so it had a small crack at bottom of screen. Not sure if from shipping or previous owner.Think it is on screen protector but the crack runs across home button. Barely noticeable. Other than that it’s good condition and came with a charger.
