Almost perfect but issues with pictures

10/22/26 edit: I bought another refurbished "Amazon Premium" 16e and it arrived with scratches on the glass which Premium guarantees will not be the case. I had to return it. With 2 Amazon Premium phones having issues, I cannot recommend purchasing them to others. I wish I could but it appears to be a crapshoot on what you will get. Also, my pixelation issue is happening more frequently so the hope that it would be a random thing has gone away. This will be returned when I can buy a new phone. EDIT: I've had this refurbished "Amazon Premium" phone for almost a year and the pixelation issue occurs regularly but maybe 1 out of 25 pictures so not all the time but enough to be annoying and sometimes ruin special pictures. I had decided to exercise my right to get a replacement which is what "Amazon Premium" promises (in addition to a full refund) but the 3rd party seller doesn't do replacements and would offer me only a full refund. This buyer experience is definitely not "premium" as I want what the program promises. Needless to say, I have to get the refund, return the phone, and start all over again. Very frustrating. I hope the next phone truly is premium in nature. ************** I was pretty happy to get a Phone that was designated to be "Amazon premium" for the price. It truly was like new when I received it. However, I have taken several pictures since I have purchased this 6 months ago that were pixelated as is shown in one of the pictures I have attached from today. (Some of the pictures were more pixelated and more pronounced than this example.) "Amazon premium" comes with a 1 year guarantee, although it shows that my return window closed after 90 days so I’m not quite sure what to make of my rights at this point. I have not inquired for support yet as I was hoping that the first couple times this happened with the pics, it was just a fluke. I don’t recall ever having this happen with another phone so it does have me a little bit worried that it will get worse over time. It also makes me wonder if this is the reason that the original owner returned it? Aside from that, the phone has worked pretty well. I think the battery was barely used when I first got it so it was working as expected but I do feel like overall, it drains a little bit faster than I would prefer for being in like new condition. I had absolutely no issues with the phone being unlocked or setting it up. As an exclusive android phone user up until I got an iPhone for work in 2017, I continue to be frustrated with the iPhones' inability to choose the right word when I am swiping across my keyboard to "type" out a word. It almost always chooses a word that’s so obscure instead of the right one it should be predicting not only from the standpoint of commonality, but based on the context of what I’m typing. My android phones have always been better at this. But it’s an iPhone world and my adult kids have iPhones, and it’s just something I’ve come to accept, but I am resentful of the premium cost with not really a return on the investment. I will update this review if the pixelation issue gets worse or any other issues come up.

Bought this Amazon Renewed 16e toreplace my 2018 XR, which I crushed a few days ago when I fell during a run. I paid $360 for “Excellent,” and it truly is. It arrived today, absolutely ZERO blemishes, completely as new, and battery life is at 100%. Amazing. I’m not a phone enthusiast, just text, calls, stream, surf, music and the occasional pic. XR was still fine for this, but 16e so much better. What I notice right away: screen dramatically brighter, sound better, much faster loading speed, and USB-C charging. Aesthetically also an improvement, 16e looks like classic IPhone design whereas XR looked somewhat Android-ish. Bottom line, very pleased. Won’t replace until maybe 2032😂

Absolutely worth it. Upgraded from a 13 to this iphone 16e and I absolutely love it. Once received, there is not a single scratch. Zero damage. The battery health capacity came in at 100% with 22 previous cycles. The quality and performance of the phone outweigh all the cons of what it lacks regarding the dynamic island and camera. If you’re looking for a phone with no extra features and works just like any other iphone 16 even the pro and higher versions, this is the one to get.
