I was hesitant about buying a renewed phone, but decided to give it a shot on Amazon since their return policy is pretty good and I gotta say, I’m genuinely impressed with this device. I got the “Renewed Premium” version. The phone came unlocked, so I was able to activate it on T-Mobile with zero issues. It arrived in excellent condition and has performed flawlessly. The phone is practically pristine. There’s a tiny scratch on the screen that’s only visible when you look closely, but you can’t see it while using the phone, so it’s not an issue for daily use. The body, back, and all edges are in great condition with no other visible imperfections. The battery arrived at 100% health with only 1 cycle count, which is basically new. I ran the full iOS diagnostics test and everything passed: the battery, sensors, camera, display, speakers, microphone, and all other hardware components checked out perfectly. No hardware issues whatsoever. I did have to switch to a 30W Apple charger since my old third-party one wasn’t powerful enough, but that’s a minor inconvenience. My only complaint is that I ordered the premium option with no scratches or cracks on the front. There is a small hairline crack on the front, but it isn't really noticeable when using it. got this phone yesterday, very impressed with quality. I chose good option for $330, the device has only 30 cycles and 100% battery and still have apple care till mar/2027. screen is flawless, body has some scratches but that is expected. Better than buying 13 or 14 with this price. FYI, they sent me wrong cable but that I can live with given how good the device is ... show more

I wanted to love this thing. A renewed iPhone 16e at a discount felt like a smart move, modern iOS, A18 chip, USB-C, IP68, the whole package. I talked myself into it. Then I actually used it. The performance is genuinely good. The A18 is fast, apps snap open, and Apple Intelligence works as advertised. Battery life impressed me more than I expected, easily a full day and then some with room to spare. The 6.1-inch OLED display looks great indoors. The camera is where things got real. One lens. Just one. No ultrawide, no macro, no nothing extra. At this price point, even budget Android phones ship with three cameras. Apple made a deliberate choice here and buyers should understand what they are signing up for before clicking add to cart. The design quirks pile up fast. No MagSafe (just standard slow wireless charging), no Dynamic Island, a 60Hz display, and a notch that looks lifted straight from an iPhone 14. The phone also arrived eSIM only, which tripped me up during setup if your carrier or workflow is not ready for that. Cosmetically, the renewed unit was clean and showed no real wear, so no complaints there. The Amazon Renewed program handled the process fine. Ultimately I returned it. Not because it is a bad phone, but because the gap between what this costs and what you actually get compared to a used iPhone 16 is just not wide enough to justify the trade-offs.
