Recieved my iphone 15 pro today from "2ndphoneclub" listed as the seller for this item, and after transferring my data over wifi, and transferring my service with Cricket I got an unknown battery warning. "A refurbished iPhone 15 with an unknown battery warning indicates a non-genuine, previously used, or improperly installed battery. This is a common message when a third-party part is used, and it doesn't necessarily mean the battery is defective, but it could lead to inaccurate battery health information and potential performance issues or safety concerns. (Which the battery health was listed as Normal and at 86% in the packaging, after a few hours it now says Unverified and 87% max capacity??) To understand the exact problem, check Settings > General > About for a "Parts and Service History" section, and you can see the battery's date of first use and capacity in Settings > Battery > Battery Health. What "unknown part" means The battery was replaced with a non-genuine part. The battery was used previously in another iPhone. The battery was installed incorrectly, or the installation process was not completed. The battery is not functioning as expected. Potential issues Inaccurate battery health information: The battery health percentage might not be accurate. Performance issues: The battery may not hold a charge well or could have other performance problems. Safety concerns: Using a non-genuine battery could pose safety risks. Software updates: Unexpected behavior could occur after software updates. What to do Check parts and service history: Go to Settings > General > About to see the "Parts and Service History" for details about the battery. Check battery health: Go to Settings > Battery > Battery Health to see the battery's current status. Note that the health information may be inaccurate. Battery life came at 91% but so far I only have to charge it about once a day and that’s just as a precaution so I don’t forget about it and let it die. Upgraded from a 7 to the 15 Pro. Phone was received it great shape with 89% battery health. There were some very minor scratches on the corner of the body. The phone came with a screen protector installed. The screen and camera had been replaced with certified apple parts according to the service history. I was very skeptical ordering a newer phone from Amazon but I am very happy with my purchase! I upgraded from an iPhone XS to the 15 pro. I have had my new iPhone for about 2 months now and I couldn’t be happier! It operates great and I haven’t had any issues. The battery holds up well! Of course with excessive use I have to charge my phone at least once during the day otherwise the battery lasts all day. I am very happy with the size, color, and feel of the phone. It was super easy to transfer all my data to the new phone and didn’t take long at all. The phone is lighter than I thought it would be and love the titanium! I did get a screen protector that didn’t fit well at all but I tried a different brand and the second screen protector actually fit. I was worried the screen on the phone was messed up but it was the screen protector and not the phone. Syncing my new iPhone with all my other devices was extremely easy. I purchased this phone listed as Premium Refurbished with very minimal wear. While the cosmetic condition is good, there are several issues that prevent this from meeting premium standards. The main problem is the battery health, which is only 85%. Amazon Renewed Premium listings state batteries should be 90% or higher, so this was disappointing for a device sold at a higher tier. I have also experienced a brief system freeze with audio glitching, which, although it resolved itself, raised concerns for a phone that is supposed to be premium quality. Additionally, I contacted the seller as instructed regarding these issues and received no response within the promised timeframe, which reflects poorly on the customer support process.
