I was about to buy a green 128gb unlocked 13 mini directly from Apple for $600 plus tax. Then I saw this premium renewed option and the 512gb was only $30 more. What got me was that the savings for more storage was exponential. Comparing new from Apple to Amazon premium renewed, you only save $70 on 128gb but you save $270 on 512gb, and again you essentially get the upgrade to 512gb for $30 more if you’re about to buy 128gb new. Reviews were saying they got perfectly new phones with 100% battery capacity and that’s exactly what happened to me! 100% battery capacity and not a single blemish or speck of dust in ports or anywhere. Crazy. What an excellent purchase. Setup was easy and activation with Mint Mobile took seconds with an eSIM. I will mention it comes in an Amazon box with an aftermarket charger so you don’t get the official Apple box or USB-C charger. I don’t mind at all. Also, delivery was tough because Amazon needs you to be present for delivery so you can tell the driver a passcode. Two days in a row Amazon attempted delivery outside the 4 hour window they had given me. I can’t be home all the time waiting for them so it took a few days to deliver successfully and I had to sit in my chair, unshowered, waiting for hours. ... show more

I was an Android user for at least 10 years before switching to iPhone. I was by far happier with my last Samsung Galaxy phone than I am with this iPhone 13 mini. My biggest gripe about iPhone is the volume controls. Something that I would never expect me having an issue with but I do with this phone. They only have one, I repeat, ONE volume setting that controls damn near everything on the phone from Siri, Alarms, Notifications, etc. My problem with this is to wake up in the morning with my alarm I have to have the volume set to the max. If I put my airpods in and don’t turn this volume in the settings down, Siri will YELL at me because someone updated their story on Instagram. Turn it all the way down and I won’t hear my alarm. It does not change based on what you previously had it set at with that device, only the media volume changes. You can only change the media volume if you are playing something. The only way around this crap is downloading a third party alarm clock. Doing this is not reliable because if you hit the snooze you won’t hear your alarm go off again. It’ll show up that your alarm is going off in the notifications but it won’t be audible. It’s like the app is fighting with the internal software with what to do. I have contacted customer support about these issues and was told this is expected behavior. So…. Deal with Siri screaming at you or don’t hear your alarm clock. Those are your options because Apple don’t want to give you control over your own damn phone with more than one volume control. If you rely on your phone to wake you up for work, just buy an Android. If you are a frequent Earbud/Headphone user, buy an Android. If you only use your phone for texting, calling, and the occasional picture then buy iPhone. That’s literally all the iPhone is good for. Everything takes more clicks to accomplish, its a lot worse for multitasking, and there’s less functions in the camera app. I kinda regret my purchase and I’m not satisfied. If Apple wants to fix these obvious issues that would be great but judging how they are not interested in innovation or making changes that probably will never happen.
