I switched out a cheaper, no-name brand of keyboard sold on Amazon with good reviews, but I am glad I made the switch. The old keyboard had lag, meaning I had to always hit a few keys and wait for it to connect to use it. Also, I made a lot of typos because keys didn’t always register a touch and the angle was odd if using in bed, meaning it didn’t hinge enough to see the screen and the keyboard at the same time. Finally the delete button broke off, but the button would still work without the key, but using the old keyboard was frustrating. The Apple pro keyboard fixes all of those issues and has function keys. It also feels a lot more solid and it’s easy to feel the keys and not make typos. I bought the refurbished one at a 30% or so savings, and wish I had done that the first time. As soon as I attached this keyboard, it was on and functioning automatically and instantly. Getting rid of the lag was worth the upgrade alone as it was very frustrating to start typing and have it not connect right away. ... show more

Purchased with low expectations since I have never purchased refurbished before. I must admit I was wrong for being speculative. Bought the one labeled Refurbished Excellent from the Refurbisher Russ Enterprises LLC. I don’t know if all refurbishers are created equal but my Magic Keyboard looked brand new, came in the original box and even had the original paperwork. The only things that showed it wasn’t new was the paper wrapper and security tabs were gone. I cannot express my contentment with this purchase. Kudos to Russ Enterprises and thank you for saving me almost $100 off the Apple Store price. ... show more
