Great craft paint / one defective bottle

I bought a ton of colors because the price went way down. I'm not going to review them one by one, so here is a collective review for all the Apple Barrel paints. I've used this brand acrylic paint for over 20 years. The paint is awesome. I believe it's mostly non toxic, tho I would advise against eating it. The colors are vibrant and stay that way. I have rocks that I painted 10 years ago that still look great, even some of the ones that were outside! I just recently began crafting with polymer clay. This is a new medium to me and I'm having a lot of fun with it. Sometime pieces need to be painted so naturally I grabbed my Apple Barrel paints and went to town. The paint sticks to the polymer clay great! It looks really good too. I will attach a picture of some miniature food I made for my dollhouse out of polymer clay and was painted with Apple Barrel paint. The ruler in the picture is centimeters. There's pretzels, croissants, bread, and crackers in the picture. I really appreciate all the colors this company offers as well. I know you can mix your own colors but this is so nice to have it already mixed in a bigger quantity than one time use, esp if you're like me and want to come back and paint something else the same color, you don't have to worry about matching the color if it's all from the same batch. And at the time of this writing, a huge majority of the colors are at such a great price you really can afford to get all the colors you need. When you're done working on your project, clean up is real easy with this stuff as well. I've never had to use anything stronger than just soap and water to get it off my hands. I have found this paint definitely will stain clothes, so make sure you don't wear something you don't want stained forever! As far as surfaces I painted on, I just lay down newspaper or a silicone mat and there are no problems at all with cleanup. *This is just for the defective bottle: I have used Apple Barrel paints for 20+ years and I usually get A+ product. This one either was bad product or a defective bottle, or both. It was obviously packed after it already started leaking. None of the other bottles in the entire package had issues at all - just this one. Picture is attached so you can see. Other than this I really think Apple Barrel products are fantastic and definitely highly recommend. I didn't bother with a return because Amazon actually wanted me to drive to the UPS store to return it... A 50 cent bottle of paint. It would've cost more in gas to drive to the place. I'll get over it. It was only one out of more than 20 bottles I ordered to have an issue.

Gold is more of a yellow, everything else is perfect!

I am giving this an 4 out of five stars for the one I purchased. This brand of paint is overall a great brand. However, I bought the “gold” one. I was extremely disappointed in the outcome of the paint. I have had such wonderful experiences with the other colors being exactly what they were described as. However, the gold color itself is definitely more of a yellow than gold. Photo provided. It could just be I was expecting a metallic finish but it just does not give gold to me. Overall would recommend the brand just don’t buy the singular gold if that is what you are looking for. The silver lining is it was only $0.58 and can definitely be used on other projects of mine. Overall brand is a 5 out of 5.

Literally so opaque on cardboard! I bought 4 bottles thinking they were so small (I mean, they’re so cheap!) and ended up only needing one bottle for this whole box for my daughter’s Halloween costume! I’m so happy with this product and that price? Can’t beat it.
