I have a set of Airpods pro, 1st gen, that have served me well for a good few years now. They were great for travel and for work, but not so good for sports. I also have a pair of Beats fit Pro which I use for workouts and for reading at night. These were almost as good in terms of sound quality, but much better than the original Airpods Pro in terms of battery duration and comfort and staying power for intense workouts. Lately, however, the battery of my old Airpods hardly lasts through a couple of work meetings, so it was clearly time to renew, and I decided to take advantage of a price drop on the Pro 3. I expected improvement, but I wasn't ready for how much vastly better than the original Pros these are! They're far more comfortable and hang far more tenaciously than the original pros, so they work well for workouts as well. But the sound quality is an enormous leap, and mind you, the original pros weren't bad at all! The noise cancellation is ... amazing. The way in which practically every noise just disappears, and you're fully immersed only into what's coming through the earphones was truly disconcerting at first. And I have no idea how this works, but without noise cancellation, it somehow manages to convey with greater clarity and sharpness, not only what other people say to me, but also what I say as well. It's like getting a good pair of glasses when you didn't realize you were somewhat myopic. I am far less sold on the instant translation feature, though. So far I have only been able to test it with a TV show, and the results have been less than great. The translation tends to get cut off a lot - I think you need to be very close to a real human speaker, or have the volume rather loud, for the microphone to pick sound well enough for the AI to translate. And the choice of words is not always accurate. I heard some very weird things that the speaker could not possibly be saying in the context given - plus I know enough French to know that some if it was just plain wrong. I assume that will improve with time. Othewise, I am delighted with my new Airpods.

These earbuds are really awesome if you are looking for earbuds that have really good noice cancellation and transparency. The color white is really cool in my opinion and they go well with anything that you are wearing too. They are really comfortable in your ear and they have other silicone tips just in case they don’t fit your ears well. They charge really well and I’ve only had to charge them once and listened to music with them for about 3 weeks already. I bought another case just so that we can take them any where you go so they are REALLY portable. They are pricey but that’s about it, it’s apple you expect it to be expensive 😂 overall really happy with this purchase. These materials are really good too, again because it’s apple. Overall really happy with them

Review: I owned the AirPods Pro 2 and thought their noise cancellation was good. The AirPods Pro 3 are much better. If you are deciding whether to upgrade, this is what you need to know. NOISE CANCELLATION This is the reason to buy them. Apple says the Pro 3 remove up to twice as much noise as the Pro 2. In daily use, the difference is obvious. It is not just a better seal. The new fit helps, but the technology itself is stronger. Between the fit and the noise cancellation, these earbuds can challenge the best noise-canceling headphones on the market, including on airplanes. SoundGuys measured them as the best noise cancellation they have ever tested, cutting outside noise by about 90 percent. In real in-flight tests, they beat the top earbuds from Sony and Bose at blocking airplane noise. You don't need to live in a city to notice it. It works best on the steady background noise that is part of everyday life: • A long bus or train ride • The hum of an air conditioner, furnace, or fan • Road noise on a long drive when you're a passenger • A lawn mower, leaf blower, or dishwasher • A loud gym or a busy office • A full house when you need to focus SOUND The sound itself is close to the Pro 2. What changes is how much of it you actually hear. With the background noise gone, everything sounds clearer and more vivid. I'm a musician, and I listen to a lot of music. With the Pro 3, all the layers are there. You can also listen at a lower volume, which is easier on your ears. FIT The earbuds have a new design. The tips are angled inward, have a foam layer inside, and come in five sizes. They fit my ears much better than the older AirPods Pro, and the better seal adds to the quiet. WATER RESISTANCE I dropped my AirPods Pro 2 in water. I had to send them back to Apple and get replacements under AppleCare. It's about time Apple made AirPods Pro that are not so sensitive to water. The Pro 2 were only rated for splashes. The Pro 3 and their charging case are rated IP57, which Apple says covers up to 1 meter of water for up to 30 minutes. WHAT ELSE YOU GET • Longer battery life: up to 8 hours with noise cancellation on, up from 6 on the Pro 2 • Heart rate tracking during workouts, using just the earbuds and your iPhone • Live Translation for in-person conversations ONE THING TO KNOW The noise cancellation is so strong that I switch to Transparency mode when I'm walking near traffic. I don't want to miss the sound of a car coming. Switching takes one press and hold on the stem, and Transparency mode sounds natural. That tells you how much these block out. WHO SHOULD UPGRADE If you have AirPods Pro 2: yes. The noise cancellation alone is worth it. If you have the original AirPods Pro, or AirPods without noise cancellation: the jump is even bigger. They cost more than the Pro 2 on Amazon right now. They are worth it. The cosmetic changes are minor. The difference is major.

I am an ear bud junky and have been on a quest for the perfect set for a long time. I have owned and own a lot of the big names from Apple, B&0, B&W, Sony, Bose, Klipsch, Devialet, Technics, many off brands, and more. I use both iOS and Android devices and don’t have a particular favorite so I can speak to how ear buds interact with both. This is an interesting update. I almost passed on it and I probably should have as my AirPod Pro 2’s are just fine. However, they don’t fit me perfectly and there has been a lot made of the new fit these have. My oldest son will be getting the 2’s. These look and feel a lot like the 2’s. The physical design is nearly identical. However, the upgrades, while subtle, are mostly notable. I will break these down below and try to help those that are deciding on whether the upgrade is worth your money. Sound: Those that have read any of my other reviews on buds, know I always start with sound. It is the primary function of an ear bud. Apple has a new retuned driver here and it is a good one. The sound is natural and has good definition. You will feel the bass and highs are crispy. It is hard to define how much better these are from the 2’s but they seem louder and have more clarity. A lot of this probably has to do with the new seal these give you in your ears as well (more on that later) but these are well tuned and are noticeably improved. This was an area that needed to improve as most other high end buds were better. Sony, Technics, and Bose were all better sounding at similar prices. Some of them offer higher end codecs for more lossless streams which Apple appears to still be avoiding. I still think there are better sounding buds out there but Apple has closed the gap in meaningful ways. Well done. Calls: This is a space that Apple has always dominated and still does. Calls are crisp and loud. These also do a great job of isolating your voice and washing out other noises around you so you can be heard even in noisy environments. It just is so good. Every manufacturer should be benchmarking Apple with call tech. Active Noise Cancellation (ANC): This is an area that Apple has always done well with but Bose and Sony both did better. I think they caught up to Sony but the latest Bose Ultra 2’s are still better. That said, Apple deserves a lot of credit. In spite of using the same chip set as last year, between the retooled fit of these, a new mic set, and some software upgrades, they were able to significantly improve ANC here. If you are looking for a reason to upgrade from the 2’s, this is probably the biggest improvement to me. It is immediately noticeable. Form Factor: As mentioned, Apple did a subtle tweak of their design here and it pays off big. These do not move in my ears. The foam tips are softer and more grippy. The angle of the buds assists in staying put as well. Subtle but significant! I would often have my 2’s pop out if I was exercising or cleaning the house. Anything that got a little sweat going with movement. These have fixed that issue. Still, if I am looking for a place to hit Apple on, it would be nice to see a refreshed design or maybe just some color choices. These look basically the same as the first gen even if they have been completely refined. The Case: This is always a big one for me as you interact with the case more than the buds themselves. This case, once again, is outstanding. It’s actually a bit larger and maybe thinner than the last gen case. As always, Apple does a great hinge and STRONG magnets to keeps things where they should be. You also get an improved “Find My” chip with greater range. The little speaker onboard seems to emit a slightly louder chime as well. Wireless charging is also onboard and good. The battery status LED is also a lot brighter which was a needed improvement. The other stuff: Apple added heart rate monitoring this year and it works great. It mirrored the heart rates I saw from my Fitbit and Apple Watch. Given that I use both of those, I will never use this feature. It is fairly buried into the Apple health app for the time being but I think Apple is going to further develop this feature. Connecting is a breeze with Apple as always. They have the best integration in the business. Battery life on bud is improved to 8 hours which is a big upgrade that was overdue. I would find my old AirPods running out of juice often on long trips. However, Apple ruined some of the joy here because they peeled 6 hours out of the case. They giveth and taketh I guess. These will connect and operate multipoint devices as long as they are all Apple. So, for anyone using Apple and other devices, these will be lacking for you. The wrap up: So, should you buy these? It depends on a number of things. I think Apple has made the best ear buds for iOS users even better. The sound, ANC, and fit improvements make the upgrade worth it for me alone. The extra on bud battery is nice as well. If you have recent Pro 2’s that still have strong battery life, it would be hard for me to say that you should spend another $250 here unless you find those aforementioned upgrades to be necessary. The fit was HUGE for me. Compared to other competitors, specifically the latest from Sony, Bose, and Technics, things get more nuanced. All have multipoint connectivity that allows you to bounce between iOS and other manufacturers. The Technics buds, the AZ100’s, are really good there. In fact, those buds play so nice with iOS, Android, and Windows devices that they deserve your consideration as well if you run multiple devices. Prior to these newest AirPods, all of these competitors had better sound and the same if not better ANC. Now that has changed. I used to say that the AirPods weren’t the best at much, just good at everything. Now they are the best at more and still really good at everything which make these the best all around buds in the business for iOS users. This was a subtle but very well done upgrade. I will update with more as we go here. Recommend. **UPDATE**After a full week I am more inclined to recommend the upgrade here even to Pro 2 owners as long as they can stomach the cost. I would still call this an incremental upgrade, but the increments Apple upgrades here are critical. I appreciate the on bud battery increase more than I thought even with the case battery reduction. The fit is so darn good that the buds don’t move even a tiny bit…EVER, let alone fall out like the 2’s. The sound improvement is also better than I first realized and, while subtle, there is no doubt that these get louder, which is meaningful to me. If you have anything prior to the Pro 2’s and use Apple stuff, you really need to get these. If you use the Apple 2’s, can tolerate the cost, and have a loved one that needs an upgrade, you should buy these as well.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE MY AIRPODS! 🎧❤️ I seriously cannot say enough good things about these AirPods. I use them constantly, and they have quickly become one of those things I don’t like leaving the house without. Whether I’m listening to music, talking on the phone, watching videos, traveling, or just wanting to tune everything else out for a little while, these are what I reach for. The sound quality is fantastic. Music sounds clear, full, and rich, and I especially love how much detail you can hear in songs that you may not notice through regular speakers. The noise cancellation is another huge favorite of mine. Once I put them in, it really helps block out everything going on around me so I can actually enjoy what I’m listening to without having to crank the volume way up. They also connect to my iPhone so quickly and easily, which is something I really appreciate. I don’t want to spend five minutes fighting with Bluetooth every time I want to listen to something. I put these in, they connect, and I’m ready to go. Phone calls come through clearly, and they’re comfortable enough that I can wear them for a long time without constantly adjusting them. I also love all of the extra features Apple has packed into them. They feel like so much more than just a pair of earbuds. The technology is impressive, but at the same time, they’re incredibly easy to use. That combination is probably one of the biggest reasons I love them so much. I’ve bought plenty of things over the years that I thought I would use all the time and eventually stopped using. These are definitely not one of those purchases. I use my AirPods all the time, and if something ever happened to them, I would absolutely replace them. For me, they have been completely worth the money. Great sound, great noise cancellation, easy connection, comfortable fit, and so convenient for everyday use. LOVE LOVE LOVE them. ❤️🎧 I would absolutely buy them again and recommend them to anyone considering a pair!

I just received these this morning and I already know they've solved my problem. My ears are on the small side and I have a very hard time finding any earbuds that will stay in my ears. AirPods Gen 1, 2, & 3 stay in better than any others I've found including Beats, but they don't offer the sound quality of the Pros. My ears push the Pros out within a few minutes even if I'm sitting perfectly still. The sound is so great from the Pros compared to all others that I became determined to keep them and find a way to make them stay in. After reading a lot of reviews, I chose these hooks and I'm so glad I did. The package contains 2 pair of "small" and 2 pair of "large". It's really hard to tell the difference and it appears to be just a slightly longer hook on the large. I put one of the small on one AirPod and the instant I put it in my ear I knew I had found what I've been seeking. These are super comfortable. The only reason I know it's there is because my AirPod is staying in my ear. I can shake my head, bend over, talk, laugh, move around and my AirPods aren't budging at all. Hallelujah! This has been so frustrating. You do have to remove these from your AirPods before you put them back in the case. However, it is very easy to slip these hooks on and off, yet they don't fall off. Well-designed. If you have nails, just be careful to use your finger tips and not your nails and these shouldn't rip easily. The little carry case is the key to making this simple. It would be great if we could charge without having to remove, but given that these solved my entire problem for less than $20, I can live with it. My only wish is that I could reorder just the small size. But I haven't actually tried the large ones. I might find that there isn't a noticeable difference since the smalls definitely fit me. If you require the large size then you're only going to be able to use 2 of the 4 pair. Even if I can only use the two pair of size small, it was worth the small price I paid. I have never experienced sound quality like I get from my AirPod Pros 2 and now I absolutely love them. Highly recommended!

As an audio engineer, I’m thoroughly impressed with these. I could never keep the previous ones, wired or wireless, in my ears. Thess AirPod Pro 3’s are designed more like IEMs, with the ear-tip design. Now, they fit and really sound great!!! Mic sounds great, sound cancellation is great and the charge isn’t too bad either. Finally, as of IOS 27, we have a three band EQ! So, you can tweak these very good AirPod Pros, into custom sonic gems, that’ll rival more expensive wired IEMs. Bravo Apple! EQ! FINALLY! I wished they’d lasted a few hours more on a charge, because now, we’re definitely cooking!

I waited almost a year before writing this review because I didn’t want to judge a product like AirPods after using them only once or twice. They’re expensive, so if you’re spending that much money on them, I think you should actually use them for a long time before deciding whether they’re worth it. I mainly use these at work, and honestly, they’ve been really good. One of the features I use the most is the one that automatically lowers the volume when someone starts talking to me. This is especially useful at work because when a customer comes up to me, my AirPods lower the volume so I can hear them clearly without having to take my AirPod out. I’d say this feature works about 95% of the time. Edit: I forgot to be specific. The feature doesn’t lower the volume when customers speak to me. It lowers it when they come up to me and I respond. It has to detect my voice for the feature to work. Sorry about that, guys! However, the other 5% is where I have a problem. There have been at least five times where the feature completely stopped working. And when I say it didn’t work, I mean it didn’t work at all for my entire shift. I tried resetting my AirPods, disconnecting and reconnecting them, and doing what I could to fix it, but nothing worked. I eventually had to take my AirPod out completely so I could hear customers properly. It was honestly really frustrating, especially because I rely on this feature so much at work. Thankfully, this has only happened around five times during the time I’ve had them, so most of the time it works perfectly fine. The battery life is another thing I noticed. Apple says the AirPods Pro 3 can get up to 8 hours of listening time with Active Noise Cancellation on, but in my experience, I usually get around 5 hours, sometimes even less. I work six-hour shifts, and I don’t even use my AirPods for the entire shift because I usually take about a 30-minute break from using them. So technically, I’m using them for less than six hours, this honestly isn’t a huge complaint for me because they still get me through almost my entire shift. They’re not dying halfway through my shift or leaving me without them when I actually need them. I just noticed that the battery life is lower than the advertised eight hours. As for the music quality, I’d say it’s decent. Usually, headphones can make you feel completely submerged in the music, but these AirPods let you stay aware of your surroundings while still enjoying your music. Personally, I like that, although it might not be for everyone. Since I use them while working and going about my day, I don’t want to feel completely disconnected from everything around me. That balance between listening to music and still being aware of your surroundings is one of the things I like most about them. Another feature I really liked when I first got them was how clearly I could hear my own voice while wearing them. My voice sounded louder and more crisp to me, and I could hear myself much better while talking. I don’t remember exactly what the feature is called. I’d say they’ve been a good purchase. They’re not perfect. The battery life could definitely be better, and the automatic feature has completely failed on me a handful of times so that’s why I rate this a 3 out of 5. But aside from those issues it’s been very useful for my daily life.
