(24GB RAM 512 SSD review) Pretty much can do all things at once with no noticeable slow downs. Unless you are doing heavy A/V creative work, this MBA M4 can do some serious heavy lifting. As soon as I got mine I spun it up to a full workload... Before deciding on the RAM/SSD specs, I researched, asked multiple AIs, and posted on a few forums asking if 24GB would keep me in the clear with my workflow. The resounding answer was "ABSOLUTELY!!! The M4 Air with 24GB won't even break a sweat" This easily proved to be untrue and if I were doing this all over, I'd either up spec to to a MBP M4 Pro wi/ 32GB RAM, or a MBP M5 w/ 32GB RAM. Only reason I would go to a MBP is that Apple's RAM upgrades are so expensive, it appears to be a better value to just go big with a MBP and get the better and larger mini LED display, refresh rate, extra physical ports, higher internal data transfer speeds, better speakers and active cooling.... all for just a little more than a MBA M4 spec'd with 32GB of RAM. That's the reasoning behind me deducting a star (everything/everybody in the World told me that my workload wouldn't dip into the swap file) All that said, the base MBA M4 is an absolute no-brainer for the normies. It can easily do whatever 99.9% of people do at work/home and is probably the most disruptive laptop ever produced. ... show more
