This MacBook Pro M4 Pro, 14‑core CPU, 20‑core GPU 48GB Ram 2TB SSD is the best high end laptop for the money. I've had this MBP M4 Pro for 7 months now. I have only one complaint. Why use the stupid magnetic cord again? I hope the magnetic contact arcing problem in the past was solved. Have to keep an eye out on the connections. I've owned only MBP's since they first came out in 2006. I researched this MBP M4 Pro before buying. This M4 Pro was the best value for my money. It was also the first time I bought a MBP on Amazon. It was easy to migrate my old MBP apps files and settings to this MBP. Apple's M4 Pro is the best high end computer used by video editing professionals according to 2025 PC Magazine. It's just a step under the fully loaded MBP Max which has the same base screen. The nano-textured screen is not included in this MBP. No PC laptop is as durable as the MBP. It's benchmark score is near the top and it will still be a great laptop for several years. Apple's quality and 2 year warranty are included. The 16.2" LED-backlit Liquid Retina XDR screen resolution is 3456 by 2234, just under 4K. It makes up for that with a total of 7.7 million pixels or 254 pixel per inch. That's ideal for video editing. The 20-core GPU is 3nm. Most 4k PC laptops use older 10nm, inefficient GPU's. The screen brightness allows you to use it out in direct sunlight. The 2TB SSD was a compromise between the cheaper 1TB SSD and the 4TB SSD that is priced $900 more than this 2TB model. The SSD drive cannot be upgraded after purchase. The 4.5 Ghz M4 Pro14-Core CPU is the latest in 3nm. It's silent, cool and energy efficient. The battery lasts 2-1/2 days at work without needing to be charged. It's stated to last up to 24 hours. It has 48GB memory at a blistering 273 GB/s of memory bandwidth. It starts up fast and shuts down fast. The Touch ID key is faster than typing in login information. It's a thin, 11/16 of an inch thick. The screen is edge to edge. It has a user facing 12MP camera that I adorned with electrical tape. The M4 Pro is dependable, until Apple discontinues support for it in 8 years. Which is not a big deal. PC laptops won't last half as long as that.
