The best advice I received from previous reviews was to check the release date once you receive your item. I purchased a 2016 MacBook in late August and sure enough it was a 2013 release - they sent a completely different Mac. However, the company was quickly to process the return. I was able to find a 2018 and I’m very pleased with the quality and appearance. Excellent battery life, very clean screen and no exterior flaws. the laptop it self is working really well. There was a few kinks at first but I have figured it out since. The only issue is that after a couple weeks of having this laptop, the charger broke off inside of my laptop. SO now I need to go to the genius bar and pray that they can take it out and get me a new charger that won't do that. ... show more

The laptop worked well for 5 months. Then it wouldn't hold a charge anymore. Apple couldn't diagnose and the seller wouldn't repair due to the 90 day window warranty. My lesson, purchase electronics with a longer warranty because you never know what real condition the device is in. $500 down the drain! ... show more

I was a little hesitant buying a refurbished Mac from amazon but I couldn’t ask for anything better - especially for the price. I have the same computer for work and those were given to us fresh from Apple and I can not tell that the one I got for myself was any different. They run exactly the same!

    • freezes, glitchy. had to return
man, I'm so disappointed. I wanted this laptop to work so badly. I have always had a fear of buying a refurbished item and my fear was confirmed with this purchase. I am returning it. Issues: 1. freezes EVERY time I open it. it opens a "searching for bluetooth keyboard" pop up every time, and the laptop freezes for about 5-10 minutes until it can't find a keyboard and finally closes 2. apps won't open. I'll get a pop up saying "Safari is not open any more". yeah no kidding, I'm trying to open it. let me force quit? nope can't do that either. the laptop exists in limbo until I restart the laptop again. I had my first MacBook Air for 6 years and never ever had an issue with it. I'm sad to not keep this one, but oh well. ... show more
