The laptop was in great condition and the battery life is decent. I got the package on time (it needed a signature to the Fedex driver). I am so grateful to this seller. I was debating getting a Windows machine or a Mac, and decided to try my hand at a Macbook. I specifically got this one because even if it is from 2017, it's *relatively* spec'ed out and should be able to handle most tasks with ease. This Macbook powers on / wakes up very quickly. Because it has an Intel chip you will hear the fans running when your throw too many tasks at it, but most of the time they don't. The screen is beautiful and enjoyable to look at. It's very snappy and handles everything without breaking a sweat. This model goes up to MacOS Ventura (13.x.x), which is compatible with a lot of things from the App store. The Intel processor has compatibility with just about everything made for MacOS, and in some cases, some stuff that the M-series chips can't run. Certain Apple apps like Pages install but like some version that is compatible with Ventura. Keep in mind that this unit only has 2 type-c ports. This hasn't been an issue for me because I don't need to plug in too many things. The way around having 2 ports is either using Bluetooth accessories and / or using a USB hub. (Also, for a Macbook, 16gb of RAM may be overkill, so don't let it factor too much into your decision vs other Macbooks which have more ports). I use it as a student who uses Visual Studio and does 3d modeling / printing with apps like Blender. Since day 1 with this laptop, I have had zero regrets, and became even happier with my decision. Well the laptop sucks. I always think reviews are super pessimistic and usually order anyway and have good luck but this time I got the literal worst product ever and worst seller experience ever. Before I even get to the delivery the laptop itself as soon as you open it the fan is going crazy , and the thing overheats super fast literally just from setting up. I’m not a tech girly but I know that’s not right lol Once you get in there’s already a battery service needed notification which is consistent with all the other reviews which I should’ve listened to. I have the MacBook Pro that I bought directly from Apple for $1200 that I would bring to my job as a daycare teacher and I let the kids run all over it and get it wet which ruined it and it still worked and never over heated and I never had a problem with the battery, the screen was just messed up from liquid which is why I opted to just try this. The laptop is not worth the headache I swear yall don’t think it’ll be different for you like I did. Now let’s get into the seller, they are unhelpful and lazy. The package was undeliverable and they refused to contact fedex as the shipper since I couldn’t do it as the recipient, they sent auto messages and kept telling me to return the product even though I did NOT have it I was on the chat with customer service for a week after the expected delivery date. After HOURS of being on the phone with fedex I was finally able to have it shipped to a pick up place. ... show more

I gave this MacBook Pro four stars because I did have an issue with the first one I received. It arrived bent and wouldn’t hold a charge or charge properly, so I had to send it back. However, the customer service was great and they quickly sent me a replacement. The replacement has been great so far and works exactly as I hoped it would. It’s in great condition, runs well, and I’ve had no issues with charging or performance. I appreciate how easy the return and replacement process was and that they made sure I received a working computer. I ordered this laptop for surfing the web and doing some light content editing. I was sold on the specs (16gb ram and 256) and price. I thought I ordered 2019 pro but I was looking around on diff sites and such so maybe just an oversight. its a 2017 pro with no touch bar. however I am very much thrilled bc I ordered the “fair/ good” quality in terms of appearance, but to my surprise there is only one noticeable scratch on the back and some fading due to stickers. I am not too concerned as I will be putting a case on it anyways. came partially charged with a new charger. battery life cycle is in the low 300 out of 1000 which is great imo. very easy to use and set up. design is sleek and with little flaws. all keys are functioning and brightness is adjustable and great. shipped and received within 3 days of ordering! ... show more

It looked great and worked great for the first 3 months. Two weeks ago, right after the return policy expired I started seeing a flashing question mark inside a folder when I opened up the Macbook. It would take several attempts to restart (boot) the device and the problem just got worse. After erasing and reinstalling the operating system it worked good for about an hour before it shut down displaying the question mark inside a folder. I wasn't able to reboot the device so I took it to the repair shop (the most reputable repair shop in Warsaw, Poland). The guy at the repair shop told me that 2017 Macbook pro computers are notorious for failing hard drives. If you buy a 2017 Macbook pro just be aware of the fact that the hard drive is a ticking time bomb waiting to fail. It will cost me about $300 to get a new hard drive installed. If you buy this model it is safe to assume that the computer you paid $569 is eventually going to need at least another $300 in repairs after you purchase it. He told me that I was lucky. If I had bought a later version or the Macbook with four USB ports instead of two I wouldn't have been able to easily replace the hard drive because it is soldered to the motherboard. Oh well, anytime you buy a used Mac there are inherent risk and there is a reason why there are so many of this particular model being offered on Amazon at such a discount. ... show more

I purchased this product in aug-September and had ignore anything that seemed “off” about the MacBook and just brushed it off as it being a good deal. No first red flag was the Touch Bar glitching randomly and constantly, to the point where at most points the MacBook would completely problem restart untill the Touch Bar stopped glitching. I left it alone brushed it off noticed how sometimes my screen would glitch but very minimally next is the battery lasting 5 mins overheating from slight tasks etc now in February I’m having to pay upwards of $300 to get the battery replaced let alone anything else wrong with it. Honestly wouldn’t recommend buying from this “refurbished company” just buy from plug or something never any issues with them ... show more
