The media could not be loaded. These boards look so awesome at night, LEDs are really bright and everybody sees you from from far away. Then they slow down to check you out as they go by. It's a show ! I put surfskate adapters on these Galaxies and that just took it to another level. Now we go for sunset and nighttime skates almost every night here in Bali. My girlfriend had never even heard the word skateboard a month ago. But within ten days she was not only riding, carving, but also even pumping the board up hills (!) The relatively empty hotels here in Bali now are very welcoming to us (and our business) during COVID and so we skate their hallways, parking garages, giant roofdecks, poolsides, and all of the little golf cart tracks on their grounds. These LED-wheel boards have so much style, combined with surfskate adapters for swooping and carving, they really put on a show at night, people like to watch. The wheels are grippy urethane and the LEDs will never run out of battery - they don't use batteries - magnets in the spacers rub against metal and generate light. People who are reporting a wheel light out probably just need to tighten the wheel nut a bit. Even an eighth of a turn. Highly recommend LED wheels - would you ever drive a car with no lights? Kind of a no-brainer. And such style...major headturner. Really pleased with my first two Galaxy LEDs, esp. after adding surfskate adapters. Already have the shorter Apollo Blue Sky LED on the way also. Lighter and five inches smaller, with a shorter wheelbase as well for tighter turns. Get these boards, add surfskate adapters, carve and pump the sunset and the night - a whole new game. Go LED or go home.

First and foremost, the board is great as your first board and can handle bumps better than other boards I tested; however, the bored makes a weird clicking noise even after loosening and make it tighter. My biggest complaint is the trucks. They clearly show black in all the pictures for the board but I got silver/chrome trucks. The bearings are great though and the 70mm wheels too.

The last time I ever had a skateboard was when I was a teenager. 25 years later I decided I wanted to try and get into it again but with a longboard. I was looking at several options, and trust me there are many, most of them falling into the $60-$80 range. However, I decided to go with the Apollo Galaxy given the reviews and the design of the board itself. At $120 it seemed a bit more, double in fact, than the other boards I was looking at, but a discount by the seller convinced me. Upon arrival, the board was very nicely designed. I picked the Galaxy, so the light-up wheels were a nice touch. However by day two, the problems started to show up. The board started making very loud squeaking and creaking noises when carving/turning. My first thought was the bushings on the struts, so I adjusted them slightly for better riding, but the loud creaking persisted. I even went as far as removing the bushings and checking them/cleaning them but to no avail. I figured at that point is whatever, I’m going to be re-learning on this board anyway. Then by day three the wheels started dimming out. By day four all but one if the wheels weren’t lighting up anymore. The nail on the coffin for me was when my son, who got jealous about not having a longboard, ordered one for himself. He chose one of the $60 ones I had been looking at. Lo an behold, this board of his was much better made. Came in a box and even with shrink wrap around it, mine did not. It had sturdy good wheels and a beautiful design too. Best of all, no squeaking or creaking whatsoever, and the ride is so much nicer and smoother. I ended up being the jealous one about how much nicer his half-priced board was! By then I decided to contact the seller and tell them about my grievances. I fully expected them to maybe send me new struts and wheels, maybe just new bushings even. I mean at worst they could’ve just sent me a new board. Instead, although their response was incredibly fast, their answer was to just keep the board and they’d refund me the money. I was satisfied, to an extent, but to me that just felt like a cop-out. Almost like they knew their boards have these issues so let’s not bother with seeing what’s the problem, fixing it, or replacing it, just “here’s your money back, have a good day…” I truly expected a whole lot better for a $120 board, and I came pretty close to even buying their $150 “Weird” one, but now I’m glad I didn’t. I just hope the company can stand behind their products better than they did. Giving somebody their money back should be the last step, not your first and only choice.

Got my 11 year old daughter one for her bday, she’s just learning, wasn’t interested in tricks or anything so figured a longboard would be a great start and this board is literally perfect. So much so I ended up getting another one so I can ride with her.
