I’ve reviewed another shade of this already (05 smiley cheeks) and I would say this one is more for the person who likes rosier cheeks. The packaging is absolutely adorable while color itself is bright pink. I gives a cute cherubic kind of look and I prefer to apply this one with a lighter hand. I use either a stipple brush, elf tint/stain blending brush, or a rounded foundation brush to apply and it’s easy to pick up product and easy to blend out. Comparing it to my favorite melt blush light, this is more matte when blended out (at least on me; I have drier cheeks) and a “stiffer” formula, if that makes sense. Aka. I don’t think it’ll melt off your face. Cute blush for someone who likes a little more color (or that strawberry/cheek look)!

I’ve tried a few things from AOU before (their glowy lip balms are still one of my favorites), so when I saw they had cream blushes, I had to give one a try. AOU is one of those fun Korean beauty brands that leans into playful packaging and easy-to-wear colors, so I was expecting this to be just as much of a hit for me as their lip products. The shade I picked up is 02 Peony Cheeks, and let me tell you…if you think it looks bright online, it’s even brighter in person! It’s a really bold coral-pink that almost borders on neon. I mean it’s the kind of color that instantly reminds me of the fake childhood makeup sets because it’s just so punchy. On the skin, it definitely pulls a little warmer than some of the other pinks I’ve seen from them. This blush is very pigmented, so a little goes a very long way. If you don’t love super bright cheeks, this might not be your shade, but if you do, it’s such a fun pop of summer color. Application-wise, I found it a bit tricky to blend with my fingers, which is unusual for a cream blush. Since it’s so pigmented, it’s harder to blend evenly that way. The best way I’ve made it work is with a brush: I’ll dab some on the back of my hand first to warm it up, then work it into the brush before applying so it goes on more diffused. That technique has given me the most natural finish, and it makes it easier to control how intense it looks. Always start light, because once it’s on, it’s not so easy to tone down. Texture-wise, it’s very creamy and has some dewiness, but it’s not the glossiest or most radiant cream blush I’ve tried. Instead, it gives more of a natural, soft glow which I also really like. I believe they’ve included some skin-loving ingredients like squalane, which helps with hydration, so it doesn’t feel heavy or drying on the cheeks. I also love the packaging! The little heart-shaped compacts are ridiculously cute, and they’re designed to stack, which just adds to the charm. It’s one of those products you kind of want to keep out on your vanity just because it makes you smile. All in all, I think this is a really fun blush for summer when you want a bold, vibrant cheek look. It might not make it into my all-time top blushes, but I’ll definitely reach for it when I’m craving something playful and bright. And honestly, between the adorable packaging and the punchy color, it’s hard not to enjoy using it.

I really like this cream blush. The packaging is cute, sturdy, and latches well so it won’t pop open in a bag. The size makes it easy to carry in a pocketbook. The color looks bold in the container, but just a dab blends into a soft, natural flush. I apply it with my fingers, and it smooths out evenly without much effort. Since a little goes a long way, this will last me a long time. Great value and very flattering

I ordered the color “peony cheeks” and it is so pretty in person. The formula is buttery soft and it applies beautifully. I like to apply with my finger tips and a little bit goes a long way. This blush is very pigmented and it gives a very natural glowing effect. It lasts all day on my oily skin and does not move or fade all day. This blush may not be cheap, especially for the size but this is indeed a very good quality blush. I only wish it was more affordable.

Blush can be a tricky makeup to use, because if you use too much you might look a bit like a doll at best or a clown at worst. I was worried that this one would be a bit too much because of how bright the color looks in the palette. It’s a bit shocking to see when you first open it. I’d rather look blushed than flushed if you know what I’m saying. Fortunately, it blends to a more natural hue on my cheeks. It goes on smoothly and easily to create a sweet pink glow as opposed to a red disaster. It looks great. The texture is creamy. It’s lightweight enough to where I can barely feel it on my skin. The heart shaped palette is cute, and I like that it has a mirror built in. I’d get this blush again.
