I was nervous about buying this bike trailer after browsing all the high and low end items available, but it's perfect! It was supposed to deliver to my home on May 17th but it showed up yesterday so delivery was super fast. I have two shih tzus one is 23 lbs and one is 15 lbs and they fit inside with room to lay down and be comfortable. It's actually very spacious inside. I put it together in 8 minutes, the wheels snap in, so easy. My boyfriend helped me connect it to my bike but that didn't take long either, maybe 5 minutes at most. I opened it up and my dogs jumped in no problem. It does have a funky factory/chemical type smell so I left the garage open for the night to help air it out. Also you have to put air in the tires before you use it. I put a little in and took it for a test ride yesterday and it was great. I could feel the weight a little when going up hills but really you don't feel it at all! My dogs loved it. I usually run them alongside the bike but they get tired so now I'll be able to put them in and continue with my ride. For $100 this is a great deal. Exactly what I was looking for. I put a small blanket in the bottom for them but it has good support on its own. I like the little flag too as corny as that might sound! Long search paid off

I purchased this months ago. So, I can attest to it's quality etc... by means of "use over time." The first carrier I received had a tear on the seam. YUK! I really had a hard time waiting for this thing to come in the first time. BECAUSE of my impatience. I wanted it a month before I actually ordered it. Honestly, the item arrived earlier than its estimated time of delivery! ;) I called the company directly and received PROMPT, COURTEOUS, SERVICE. The young lady I spoke to took extra time to understand exactly what the problem was and then talk with one of the quality warehouse man. They provided my send it back through UPS free tag and then 1 week later I was to call to verify its return. When that was verified they sent the replacement. Quickly! It took me a little bit of time to figure out how to "set it up." It comes folded flat. Honestly, that's a good thing so that later (Now) I know how to fold it flat for truck travel (to get to a great bike trail.) Once I figured it out, I discovered it really is quite easy. It's just the initial open it up etc. that takes time. I have 2 small dogs. 12lb & 14lb THEY LOVE IT! I know a couple of folks said that it was too big for small dogs. However, I have found it to be great. My 2 love to stand on their hind legs and have their heads out the top face to the wind. I do harness them in as they both are great jumpers and would love to explore path on their own. I'm 5'2" 125lbs and I ride with this thing without feeling like I'm dragging dead weight. Although, I must say I have not ridden on a step hill yet. I am not a walker. I love to ride bikes. This was a God-send for me. They are people dogs and love to go with. Walks, car rides, harnessed in the back of a truck ride, bike, boat, yep they love to be on the go. I also have a rack with a small basket on the back of my bike and I can go to the store with them in tow and still carry back a bag of groceries without the fear of them "eating" whatever it is I've purchased. Make sure you completely fill the tires with air as you would your bike tires. There is room inside to place a bag for their water dish, snack etc. When the box comes looking like it's been dragged through the woods and beat up, don't be alarmed yet. Open it and check it out first. The shipping box is pore quality, however the product and service are great! If anything EVER happens to this I will order another. Oh it does come on and off of your bike easily with the very secure clip! For a daily bike riding on the street gal who loves riding the bike and her dogs I can only say I love it. ... show more

I haven't used it yet, i'll update my review once i've taken it on the road. The trailer seems to be very well made, and quite sturdy. The cross bar in the back is very snug which is a good thing, but i have to use pliers to rotate it in order to get the holding pin in place, i find that to be slightly annoying, but i can deal with it. I'm hoping over time it know where it's supposed to be and i won't have to use a tool to get it into place. There are little holes in the fabric that you use to put the reflectors on, and that's it. The reflectors have little washers so it shouldn't rip the fabric but it would have been nice if there were solid mounting points. The big CON is that the instructions are absolutely horrible. It is a little sheet with ten pictures on it, no words, just pictures. It wasn't hard to put together, i figured it all out pretty easily without them, but as far as mounting it to the bicycle, that's where better instructions would have been nice. I need to take my bike to the shop to get my rear wheel realigned because when i mounted the "hitch" thing i had to unscrew the nut on the rear tire, and it caused the tire to become untrue. I could probably fix it myself, but i would rather let the shop do it. Over all, i think it is really nice, i bought it to carry my cat around, 15lbs. He is a large cat that people often confuse for a dog (rather annoying) but he is well trained and so this is perfect for him. The base of the trailer leaves a bit to be desired, it is sturdy enough i'm sure, but since i want my cat to be comfortable i'm going to get a pad to go in there so the bumps don't bother him so much. ... show more

I read the other reviews before purchasing this so I'll touch on what I found. I read about complaints about the instructions being to vague well there are just several pictures on the instruction sheet nothing else no words all but that was okay since the set-up was so easy it was self explanatory common sense assembly I never used the instructions. One plus is our dog seemed to know it was his right from the start and was eager to jump right in as we were still trying to set it up and would get out of it without a bribe of a treat either. The sun is out but the high will only be 38 degrees today but we are all set to go out for a test bike ride this afternoon. Now after the test ride My dog weighs 36lbs but with him in it and the weight of the trailer the only time I could feel the weight behind me is going up hill. I took extra care when going over bumps since some of the negative reviews claim it will tip over but found it very stable when faced with an area that still had snow covered iced footprints on the bike path that stayed shady with trees. The dog loved the ride at least he stayed quiet and there was plenty of room for him and my camera. I think there is even room for a small cooler for a lunch for those spring/summer bike rides that's a plus for me. We traveled 13 miles this afternoon in it and I can say 100 percent so glad I found this for purchase online. A great value for the price :-) ... show more

This is a pretty solid, hefty trailer here. It is made of steel, and is obviously very durable. It was easy to put together. I would imagine it would take about ten minutes or less to collapse for storage if you're kind of slow at those sorts of things. Someone good at assembly could assemble or collapse it in five minutes. It does have a rather pungent new plastic smell. It's been about 36 hours since I opened it and assembled it and the smell is still just as strong as when I took it out of the box. I'm hoping it will air out eventually. I still haven't ridden my bike with it yet. I will try to update after that happens. **Update - I've ridden with it approximately 50 miles now and it works perfectly. I live at the beach so I not only ride down the road with it, but I unhitch it from my bike and walk the trailer onto the beach. I have a small 25 lbs dog, so I pack a few other items in the trailer, like water, my camera, etc, and a strap a beach umbrella to the top of it. *** Update - I've ridden quite a lot with the trailer (I live at the beach) and so far it has held up very well --- with one exception. The tires. Yes, they are cheap tires and there is a flat spot worn on one of them that causes a "bump bump bump" noise and rattles my poor little dog. Threads are already showing on the tire where the flat spot is. How the spot got there.. I do not know. I kept the tires inflated between 36 and 50 psi as it instructs. But.. at any rate.. i have new tires ordered and they will be here next week. ... show more

I bought this for our French Bulldog and although he is not a big fan of riding in it, it is of no fault of the trailer. I am sure he will get used to it. The trailer itself seems well made. Set up was quick and I attached it behind my Ride1Up e-bike. It comes with an attachment bracket that mounts under the nut that goes on the end of the rear axle. After the adapter is mounted, the trailer connects to it via a pin. The trailer is easy to connect and disconnect when not needed and I feel it is securely attached when connected. It even comes with a safety strap to use as a secondary safety device in case the pin comes out or you forget the pin, although I can't image the pin coming out on its own. Overall, I am pleased with my purchase and would recommend this trailer for anyone looking for a good quality pet trailer for their bike. ... show more

The Aosom Dog Bike Trailer is a great way to bring your furry friends along. It is a sturdy product that quietly rides behind you bike while letting your dogs view all the sights on the way to your destination. PROS - Well thought out - strong when set-up yet folds neatly to small package Lite and quiet - doesn’t make a lot of noise while easily towed Roomy - more than enough for my two small dogs at the same time or one medium to large dog Easy to assemble Hitch assembly has spring allowing wide range of movement without breakage CONS - Poor shipping package. Practically destroyed by the time it arrived I took a bit of a shot in the dark with this purchase as I did not understand how the hitch assembly worked. It turns out that it has a strong spring between the end of the trailer tongue and the collar that slips over a pin that is bolted to the axle. (See picture) I had to enlarge the hole on the pin assembly as my axle bolt is half inch and the hole was too small. Once adjusted everything fits well and securely. There is a retaining security strap just in case there is a failure. I assembled the trailer, attached the axle pin, tested the bike, attached the trailer, tested again and then took the dogs for a ride. I was satisfied at each step that it would be a safe addition to the bike and the dogs thoroughly enjoyed their new chariot. There are reflectors on the front and back of the trailer but I have a spare rear light for a bike that I am going to add to the back as an extra measure for safety. ... show more

Got this to take my 2 dogs a couple of miles to a better walking area using an ebike and it worked out great. Assembly was super easy and the hitch bracket fits the bike just fine [after I drilled the hole out a little]. Both dogs fit in with enough room to move [12 and 25 pound] and are happy riding in it. The mesh is holding up well and makes for great ventilation. All in all I am very pleased with this trailer that fully fills the purpose I had in mind. I decided to get a generic hitch bracket for a 2nd bike we have and had all kinds of problems, so my advice would be to stick with an original hitch [only $2 more]. ... show more
