I placed this along a shadow box fence that my duplex neighbors could see straight through because of the angle-- our eyes would lock when I was on my porch, where I had used to be able to go safely onto at any hour in my jammies! I had anticipated having to use two layers, but it is truly sufficient to the purpose of being unseen. Some light gets through but not enough to matter. I was pleasantly surprised. And I am super happy because these were on sale for just under $8 each! I don't like that it has a synthetic sheen if you are observant (which I am--some would say, including me, regarding practical matters!--to a fault. Really pleased so quickly and easily to solve a problem since new neighbors moved in who are less introverted than the previous tenant and kind of want to talk to me all about themselves--ye gads! Good fences make...you know the rest! : ) I also just used good tacks since not a chainlink fence but wood, no use for the rope or zip ties.

I like the privacy, price, quality and easy to install the only problem is it isn’t 10’ as ordered. I’ll get the 15’ and fold any extra footage. You can’t cut the side. It would fray.

I have a lot of sun shades & fence privacy shades. The sun shades are almost identical only they don’t always have a binding, but they have folded edges with multiple rows of heavy stitching. This one doesn’t have a binding or extra stitching and only has 2 grommets on the side. Since all of mine by different brands are nearly the same and have 3 grommets per corner plus grommets going down the sides, I didn’t pay enough attention to this one. I ordered one then decided to buy a second one so they’d be here at the same time. I wish I wouldn’t have. It’s not secure enough on the sides and can easily slide because you can only secure it at 2 points on the sides. I can’t keep it from sagging. I’m going to take it down.
