Wow - these look incredible! I got both 220 and 85 weight, and both look 100% like sheer black tights - even though they are opaque! I always prefer sheer black tights in winter, as my legs are a little bigger and it has a bit of a slimming effect. So I was excited to try these fleece lined ones, as I wanted some more warmth. The 220 weight will be perfect for winter, as they feel very thick, just like a pair of fleece lined leggings. In fact, I think the "sheer black" effect is better in this pair ( the 220 vs. 85 ). Out of the bag, they don't look convincing, but as soon as you put them on, the effect is great! They do require initial "adjustments" to get them stretched where you need them, and to get them up your legs far enough. The fleece lining gives these ones a bit of a "compression" effect, which I like. The 85 weight will be great for fall / autumn, they are like "double thickness" tights. And they feel a bit more sturdy than a standard pair of tights, so I think they will last. The 85 weight I was curious about, because there are not many reviews for them. There is a mostly opaque nude lining, that does provide an extra layer of warmth. I don't know how these would work for bigger legs, I am 5ft. 4 in. and size 4ish, and the 220 weight ones feel pretty snug. But I carry weight more in my legs. Just FYI :) ... show more

I use these all the time and they trick people often too! They keep me warm while allowing me to wear skirts in winter, plus they work great under pants for those really frigid days. They definitely work as shape wear too. Two problems though: 1. The toes got holes in them quite quickly and 2. The lines/seams on the butt are low enough that I worry about people seeing them. These are perfect for cold fall/winter days when you want to look cute and wear a dress or skirt and still be warm. They are honestly so warm, better than wearing jeans or leggings. They are comfortable and stay up pretty well, they do ride down after a while or with a lot of movement but its not too bad. The color is black but you can see the lighter color of the fussy inside coming through when you wear them, so it makes them look more grey than black, but that doesn't bother me much. My only true complaint would be the band around the tummy can kind of make your belly look cut off and give you a mom pooch. It really depends on what you wear and how you are styling them, you can't really tell when wearing a skirt but its more noticeable in a dress. ... show more

Color: I purchased the black and brown pairs to compare the colors in person. The black one looks great and actually gives the illusion of sheer stockings. The brown one is a way lighter color in person and doesn't really give that sheer affect. The color blends so it just looks like you're wearing solid light grayish brown leggings in my opinion. I'll be returning the brown one. Material: The material is great. I got the 220g fleece thickness option. I expect to use these tights in temperatures around 30-60 degrees (F). Haven't tried the tights out in the cold just yet, but I expect that thickness will be warm enough outdoors, and comfortable enough indoors. Sizing: I'm 5'3", 125 lbs, and usually fit between size 4 and 6 in pants and dresses. These tights seem to be made for smaller sized people. I had some difficulty getting them past my thighs. If you don't pull the tights up evenly throughout your legs and high enough, then the seam on the butt area is going to sit uncomfortably. The waist is a little tight. I did try them on after a bigger meal, so I know they'll fit better once I'm less bloated. Even so, I wish they were a little bit bigger in the waist so I wouldn't have to worry about wearing them and being uncomfortable after a meal or lots of water. Overall, I'm happy with the material and look of the tights. I know it'll keep me warm and pair nicely with some skirts during the fall/winter seasons. Sizing is probably the biggest downfall, but it fits me ok enough to get the job done. ... show more

I bought about 7 pair for my daughter and I to have going to the mountains out in Utah. The weather was 15 degrees and had snowed. We wore a pair of thermal underpants (no feet protection, stopped at ankles) these stockings, thick socks and jeans. So only two layers on our feet, these stocking and thick socks and not the first time did our toes get cold. Not anywhere in the stocking area did we get cold. I wore one pair for 4 full days (my daughter done the same) and you can tell they did wear some but will get more wear out of them easily. I have seen complaints on a different company for the bigger size women about how they wear quickly and I’m thinking, “Come on ladies, what do you pay for regular stockings that run on the first day of wearing?” For the price you pay for these or the bigger ones so what if they don’t last, neither do regular stocking and look at what you are getting, so much more! I did get a little nervous if mine were going to fit after my daughter told me they barely fit her and I’m taller than she is. I’m 5’8 and she’s about 5’7. They fit me perfect! I left room in the toe area so it wouldn’t be too tight but from mid calf I grabbed and pulled upward and kept doing that all the way up. Putting a good grip at the top of my legs so that it wouldn’t be having a gap in the crotch area, I was hoping it wasn’t going to rip and it never did! I really was shocked at this because of the way I would just grab and pull. These are very strong stocking. You cannot go wrong!!! I don’t get paid or receive anything for or from my review and I don’t know anyone with the company. I am just so thankful that with Amazon I was to buy these pairs and other kinds and send back at no charge the ones we didn’t like. We were pushed for time on getting the stocking and not knowing what kind was best we ordered several different kinds, seen this was the best, sent back the ones that we felt wouldn’t keep us warm enough and ordered more of these. I will be ordering more of these for myself and for gifts!!! I believe you can tell I love them and so does my daughter. Also, she wears dresses daily, so this is now a part of her wardrobe and she’s happy finally having a way to keep her legs warm. ... show more

I was a bit apprehensive about these leggings since most of these "sheer look" types appeared to be made for people with fairer complexions. I honestly didn't want my legs to look weird (kind of like what it looks like when people wear the wrong shade of foundation) so I took a chance and ordered the tan/dark brown color and hoped for the best. Thankfully it matches my skin perfectly and looks super realistic! Now I can wear shorts, skirts and dresses in the cold without getting cold or being over-exposed. The regular size is a bit tight all over so I probably could've sized up to the plus size pair even though I'm petite (5'1” @ 135 pounds, size 4-6) but I'd rather have it be too tight than too loose so that it maintains the fitted sheer pantyhose look. Like others have mentioned, the butt seam(s) are really odd fitting! If these weren't so tight on me it'd be a little more comfortable but I can deal with it since my butt will always be covered while wearing these. 😅 ... show more

I am a great fan of the thickness of these! The inside is incredibly soft. I will follow other reviewers recommendations and probably wear these backwards if I’m wearing a shorter shirt or dress shirt. The “butt lift” seams are a bit low and do look like a diaper (without the actual thickness!). I will also say that the feet portion is a bit small. I wear size 7 shoes and I fit into the foot but it’s tight. They stretch but not sure they’d be very comfortable if they get stretched any more. Also, the seam at the ankle means that you can’t wear these with flats or shoes that don’t cover your ankle. Ankle booties or higher will be required! ... show more
