This impact wrench is fantastic! Purchased it mainly for taking off wheels from my car. I used to have a Wagan impact wrench (that connected to the 12V socket on the car), which did the job, but it was lost in a fire. Decided to get this one for a few more bucks, to not bother with a cable (and to be able to do more work with it). It takes off lug nuts much quicker than the Wagan - just like professional impact wrenches mechanics use! It's also very lightweight. Nothing to say about the battery life yet - it was charged enough when I received it, will find out how good (or bad) it is as time goes by. A few minor inconveniences: 1. The screwdriver insert doesn't have a spot in the molded case 2. The belt clip has to be taken off if you want to store the tool in its case 3. The pin and rubber ring for securing the sockets are a nuisance - I'd rather it had a spring-based pin, like regular wrenches; however, it seems to work just fine without the pin As far as I'm concerned, the above are not issues that would reduce the rating, and at the price I got it for, it's awesome! ... show more

The media could not be loaded. This this cordless impact is more powerful than I expected and does a great job. I was not expecting it to be able to break a lug nut connection that was torqued over a hundred pounds. I think you would need an air compressor and much more powerful gun to break lug nuts that are torqued on. As long as you realize that this impact gun is more to quickly take off the lugs after you've broke the connection then you will be happy with this. it spins very fast and once the connections are broke I was able to pull off all five lug nuts super fast. Same thing for putting them back on spins them on very fast. Then you just get your torque wrench out and finish setting the right poundage manually. A charger that's included just plugs right into the battery itself to recharge it I like that the battery has an LED light indicator to let you know how much juice you have left on it. I also love that it comes with a nice carrying bag to store everything in. Really nice and I definitely recommend this cordless impact. Comes with six different sized impact sockets which are made of hardened steel. My BMW uses the 17 mm. Definitely helps speed up my job and I'm very glad I bought this impact drill. ... show more

tried it today after 2 months of buying it for the first time. 2014 Honda CRV would not loosen one single nut full battery charge. loosened them thought it might as well tighten 70% while the wheel is off the ground and it wouldn't even do that. completely usless would never recommend or buy this. i'm sorry for the seller i got it for 60 but would not even buy it for 5 bucks if i knew it were like that. ... show more

I purchased this just before changing the rear shocks on my wife's 2013 Grand Caravan SE and used it for such. Unfortunately, it doesn't appear that if your tires are torqued at more than 100 ft. lbs., this will not pull them off. I also attempted to use this to remove the bolts on the old shocks - no joy. In fairness, the shocks were original parts, so I can't really fault it too much for that. However, after cleaning the bolts and putting in the new shocks, I used this gun to 'bottom-out' the bolts until I could torque the bolts to specs. It did put them in tighter than the 55 ft. lbs. specs called for, so I backed them out a bit and used the torque wrench after. When I put the tires in, I used this for that purpose and it put them in between 90 and 100 ft. lbs. All in all, it's okay to use this, but if you've got original parts still on a vehicle that is 10 or more years old, you'll definitely want to use something more powerful - perhaps a 1/2" air wrench or you can do what I did which is to have a Bauer 1/2" electric (corded) impact wrench for the heavy lifting. Again, in fairness, I still had problems removing the bolt using that tool. For putting tires on and for newer cars, I can see this working well. Otherwise, it's just 'okay'. Next time, I'll try something more powerful, though. UPDATE: After continuing to use this impact wrench for other work that was needed on my wife's car, I'm going to 'up' the star rating from 3 to 4. This does break away bolts that are torqued at around 108 ft. lbs. with little issue. However, I would recommend something with a bit more power if your looking to break bolts that are torqued at 120 ft. lbs. or more. This may do it, but it will likely strain to do it. Also, the battery life is very good. I purchased two batteries and I've used this for three weekends in a row without it needing a charge (it still shows a full charge). I will continue to use this until it doesn't work anymore. Would I buy another one - or, recommend it to a friend? For smaller vehicle work and mower work - sure! However, I will look for a 500 ft. lbs break-away torque ceiling, not a 300 ft. lbs. device. Of course, "your mileage may vary". ... show more
