Overall, it seems like a decent filing cabinet. It's nice that it came pre-assembled (except for the castors). Mine arrived with a noticeable dent on one side though. The castors are fairly easy to put on, but only one of them came with a screw to keep them secure. The instructions say to bend part of the metal to hold them in place. It seems like they'll hold for now, but I don't know if they'll stay in place if weight is added. The pictures made it seem like it would be possible to open both drawers at the same time, but it's not. There's a locking mechanism that prevents it. It probably makes it safer... but I was still slightly surprised.

Yep. Was in your dilemma. Do I buy the cheaper filing cabinet or spring for the slightly more expensive one? Sprung for this one and am happy I did. Here’s how I weighed buying this one. Originally, did a field trip to the local office supply store and compared one much like this to other less expensive ones on the floor. The one like this (recessed handles) was much sturdier and the drawers opened smoothly. However, that cabinet was too big for my needs. Knew a cheaper model would work, but be a bit flimsy, based on buying similar one a few years ago. Also, later had to buy caddy wheels for it. (Those run $30-50.) Explored Amazon to see if same recessed handle cabinet was available in a smaller size. Based on field observation and prior reviews, took a chance this one would be similar quality. Plus, the size was perfect to go under my desk, and came already assembled and equipped with wheels. Received a big box. (FedEx guy even brought it into the house! YMMV) The filing cabinet is very well packed. Double-walled box with extra thick cardboard lining the inside. Used a soft blanket as a landing pad when pulling cabinet from the box. The only hinky thing was a strip of yellow packing tape stuck to the cabinet surface a little. Quick pass with rubbing alcohol and everything looks just fine. Once out of the box, wheeled it into place and dropped in letter-sized hanging files. Also comes two metal dividers to customize drawers. Can’t vouch for longevity yet, but think this cabinet should hold up to normal use. (It’s similar in quality to the nice one at the office supply store.) The drawers move smoothly and lock easily with supplied keys. Seems perfectly sturdy for a home office.

I wish that I purchased this sooner. It works perfectly for the space that I have and is well made. Now all of my documents are organized, in one place, and easy to access. I can easily roll it to another area if I like. It's great!

Can't put file folders in the top drawer! I can put the hanging file holders in there but when I put tabbed file folders in the hangers, the drawer won't close. Well, it will close but it's too shallow so it crams all the files together and then won't open. There is a piece of metal attached to the underside of the inside top of the top drawer. It is part of the construction but it lowers the amount of space from top to bottom . So while the hanging file holders will fit, any file folder with a tab on it is too high and catches on that metal piece. You cannot use tabbed folders with this cabinet. It's ok on the bottom drawer. Tight fit top to bottom but doable. The top drawer is basically useless for files though. I'd return it but it's such a hassle and it was almost impossible to find a cabinet that would fit under my desk, so I'll just use the top drawer for something else. Very disappointing design that was not well thought out.

I just got them today and have not used them yet but they are ceramic so I can use them in the microwave, freezer or my new toaster oven which is what I got them for. They arrived well package with nothing broken. I like that they have a distinct handle on the sides, not a graduated lip. Easier to handle. Perfect size for single meals and two of them fit perfectly in my toaster oven. I checked! If they hold up well and I expect they will, I will buy from this company again.
