The echo was always on and the adjustable knobs had no affect on the sound. It sounded terrible.

I am happy to report that this radio is the winner that we were all hoping for. The frequency does not drift at all from the moment you turn it on. The switches on the front have the things you need. Except Roger beep is in the menu, not a big deal, I don't usually use it. For the 11m conversion, open the radio and move the jumper. Out of the box, it does 45w in every mode. Even FM, be careful with that, I wonder how much heat that would generate? It has a real channel selector that doesn't skip. It has DSP noise reduction for tx and rx and they are independently adjustable without going into the menu. Hold the channel up and down together on the mic and it will display the frequency you are on. I am running it through it's paces before it goes in my truck and I just bought a second one as a backup. Anytone set the bar really high with this one. Note: Be sure to move the jumper inside the radio for 11m CB mode.

I've been CB,ing since the mid 1970's and this radio is one of the very best radios I've owned. Simple to convert to 11 meters and easy to operate. I get awesome audio and signal reports like I've never had on other radios. It has ALL of the bells and whistles like Reverb, echo, talk back, variable power, and awesomw noise rejection plus you can order a cable and set up your radio with a few simple clicks. You get all this for around $200,00. You'll be called, "That guy with that BIG RADIO"

The Anytone Ares 2 has got a lot of bang for the buck! I'm still learning how to use it so I may update my review later but so far its been a winner. Be sure to get the PC programming cable, it'll work with many other Anytone and Stryker radios too. The PC software is a free download from the Anytone web site and will be needed to setup some of the radios features like CTCSS tones and repeater splits for using 10 meter repeaters.

Any tone website listed it as a 10 meter and 11 meter. the one I got when you press down the up and down button on mic this will dice play the frequency for the 10 & 11 meter/ cb on a,b,c,d,e,f all my dose is read 28 frequency on a b c d ! And on e f 29. Frequency ! note cb frequency is 26 too 27 I even did a factory reset over and over and it would not even go in to 26 too 27 frequency.
