The color is brighter red-maroon instead of a true burgandy. But i just needed a little rug in front of the woodstove. We had a doormat that was awful to clean, holding every little speck of wood droppings. Impossible to vacuum or shake clean. This is thin, it would be able to go in front of a door. Would also be nice in the kitchen or bathroom. Wish i had gotten a bigger one to cover up more floor until we finish building and get the wood floor installed. The design is nice. Doesn’t look cheap Doesnt curl. Doesnt slid around. PS. I wasnt looking for any fire retardent. My hearth is big enough ... show more

It's a beautiful rug but wasn't rolled tightly so wrinkled pretty badly. I'm hoping they'll relax and flatten over time but the rubber backing may prevent that.
