Very simple to set up, and is true to it's 100 lbs. rating. I installed this unit in our garage running from an outdoor hose bib. Easy push-to-connect fillings. Unit DOES require drainage and is gravity fed - use some risers when setting the machine (cinder blocks for our application). Installed an in-line Waterdrop filter, making all runoff/drainage potable water that is captured in a 5gal bucket. You can recirculate the captured water back to the machine using the provided water bottle hose to eliminate waste. Once your drain water has been depleted, simply turn on your tap again to repeat the process. We found that our ideal size setting is about -2 minutes, but that may adjust as we head into the warmer months of summer. Family of six, and we have plenty of ice for two days after running the machine for about five hours. This will be a game changer when we need to produce ice quickly for our Florida hurricanes. Highly recommend!

The media could not be loaded. This little ice maker is pretty cool! Doesn't take up too much room on the counter. And it's a lot more quieter than I expected it to be. You get 9 small bullet size ice cubes in 7-8 minutes, that is pretty quick. The reservoir is kind of small so you'll have to keep refilling it if you need. Quite a bit of ice made. And the ice it's made is stored over the reservoir water so you can't overfill that because you'll be melting the ice you just made sitting in the water. I expected the ice cubes to be a little larger, hopefully it does not melt too fast. If you're expecting to fill up a cooler, this is not the way to do it. Because the cubes are small and it takes a long time to make them up to get that much ice made. The setup was easy. I took it out of the box. Read the instructions and the only set up was to remove the tape holding some parts in place. They tell you to rinse it out and let it sit for 4 hrs to allow the refrigerant to settle. Everything else was put together on my unit. Love that feature. All that there was left to do was put some water in it and push the on button.

It can be built into your cabinet OR stand alone. We bought it for the house but decided to relocate it to the airplane hangar so we can have a drink with ice when we are out there working. Great Ice quality. It comes with the hoses and scoop and water lines for easy set up. Would buy again!

Item was packaged well and seemed in good condition upon arrival. After installation, we realized it was leaking out the bottom. The water was leaking out through the drainage tube, but it seemed like something that could be fixed instead of going through the hassle of returning. My husband took the back off the ice maker and caulked around the tube that was leaking. This fixed the issue.

I set this up in my office at work. The humming noise when it was running was so loud that I eventually had to remove it. This was the only negative thing I noticed about the ice maker. It was easy to set up and use, and the ice is wonderful - small, perfectly chewable nuggets. This would be fine as long as you don’t need to sit close to the ice maker while it is running.
