This train is awesome! We bought for our 3 year old Grandsons birthday which was in August. He LOVES trains and quickly learned how to work it. We did purchase a rail car to go with it. He likes to put stuffed animals in it or he has a bubble blower he turns on and sticks in the carriage while he rides... so cute! Easy assembly and charge. Ours works well and is stable. Never had an issue with turning over. I do think the whistle could be improved. Should be louder and sometimes you have to push the button several times to make it blow. Probably his favorite toy so far. Makes our whole family smile. My Husband, Son and I have all rode on it with him and it does support the wait. A little strained with the guys on it as they are around 200lbs and our yard is not completely flat. I am 135 lbs and Grandson is about 35lbs and rides well with us.

This train was so much better than I could have hoped for! My kids (4 & 2) love it and play with it everyday. My husband and I also ride on it with the kids. I am so impressed it can support an adult and a child. The battery lasts a decent amount of time and is easily/quickly charged. It plays songs and has some other interactive features. The quality is exceptional!

What I did liked about this item was that assembly was easy. What I did not like was that the item came defective and had oil smeared on it. I am unsure if the item was defective during the manufacturing process or if was a return from a previous buyer. If someone should decide to buy and receive a defective product they will have to pay for shipping which I do not know what prior to purchasing and I am unsure what the cost will be. There should be provisions made to cover that cost if a customer received an item that is not properly functioning. The particular issue I had was the front steering did not work and was difficult for my children to move left or right.

The smokestack is the steering wheel. When assembling, the bolt hole may be off center. Attempts to put nut on bolt may not work. If this is the case, rotate the steering wheel 180 degrees and try again. Bolt should slide through easily and nut will then engage. The battery comes partially charged. Grandson rode to the park on the sidewalk, made six trips around the swings, went offroad in the grass, downhill, uphill, and back, and finally got stuck in the woodchips when he stopped. Had he kept rolling, wouldn't have gotten stuck. Charged that night, went back next day, rinse and repeat. I was amazed at the battery life. 20 minutes of constant pedal to the floor is nothing. You can use the headlight at night for a flashlight. Sixteen-point turns on the sidewalk are de rigueur. Off road capability wasn't great, but far exceeded expectations. Carrying capacity was better than expected. A three-year old and five-year old can easily fit on the engine. Speed is a brisk walk when following your junior engineer. Best feature? No track for the kids to tear up, lose and have to replace.
