  • Sturdy, Accurate, Everything You Need To Get Started
Color: 3020-evo
I have several CNC machines ranging from micro mills up to a 6-foot bed AC servo driven precision mill. Opening the box you are greeted with very well packaged parts and a beautiful, large, full color, illustrated instruction manual. This is not your regular useless Chinese manual, oh no, it is a professional step by step manual with large illustrations and photographs that detail exactly what to do. ** OUT OF THE BOX ** Assembly is easy and actually enjoyable. All the wires are perfectly labeled both on the wires and on the controller. The overall assembly is very quick and offers acceptable precision following the instruction manual. The construction quality is well beyond what one would expect from a small Chinese machine. The linear guides are much sturdier and way more accurate than what is offered by the competition. Yes, round rods are used on the base, but they are 12mm rods unlike the 8 and 10mm rods found on other machines. Each axis is controlled by a NEMA 17 stepper motor attached to 8mm threaded rod lead screws. The steppers put out enough torque to comfortable machine just about anything as long as you use the proper feeds and speeds but don't expect it to fly through hard wood or metal like a 100k dollar machine will. The accuracy and repeatability out of the box is very good for its price range. The lead screws are milled much better than standard Acme threaded rod used on many other machines. Transferring the motion from the screw to the axis is accomplished with plastic nuts that have a nice anti-backlash adjuster built in that actually works quite well. Each axis also has a hand wheel/knob attached making it easy to manually position the machine when needed. There are also limit and home switches on each axis. You can really tell thought and care was put into this machine just by looking at the nice covers over each limit/home switch. The 300W spindle seems small and cheap BUT I measured the runout, and it is actually pretty accurate, almost undetectable. It has just enough power to do any job at a good pace, not fast but not slow, I do wish it was at least 500W though. The controller is outfitted with an Atmel Mega 328 microcontroller running GRBL. While it is not my favorite chip to see in a machine it does reliably get the job done and is much more stable than say an ESP32. On the plus side is the Mega 328 uses 5 volts whereas many other chips use 3.3 volts. For this use case that means extra chips are not required to convert the 3.3 volt signals to 5V signals which is the most common voltage for stepper motor driver signals. Overall, out of the box experience is very good especially compared to other machines in this price range. ** UPGRADES ** Several upgrades are available, but they are by no means requirements. The larger bed extends the working size and increases total rigidity, it's very fast and easy to install as well. The larger spindle mount makes it simple to install a larger 600W to 1.5Kw spindle. A laser head that simply slides into the motor holder is available which much to my surprise actually works very well for both engraving and cutting. Several companies offer higher toque NEMA 17 stepper motors that are easy to bolt right in which goes nicely if you upgrade the spindle. Add 5mm ID thrust bearings between the shaft collar and the stepper motor to achieve a prefect 0 play axis (I used 3 thrust bearings on each motor and sandwiched them to the motor housing using the shaft collar), KFL08 bearing blocks which are very common are used on each axis and doing this will remove the unavoidable play inherent to their design. ** ASSEMBLY TIPS ** Do not use Loctite on any of the bolts, they don't need it. Use machinist squares to ensure the gantry is perfectly positioned. Use a tramming tool to adjust the gantry and spindle for even more accuracy. Clean off the factory grease and apply Slickoleum to the linear rails and the lead screws. Do the thrust washer upgrade mentioned above. ... show more

  • Responsive customer service, good machine.
Color: 3020-evo
The media could not be loaded. I am pleased with the build quality of this little machine. I wasn't expecting it to have the rigidity of a mill, but for a 23 pound machine, it really holds its own. Mine was packaged very well and arrived in good working order, minus the x axis leadscrew. It arrived bent with over .012" wobble. I emailed Anolex and they agreed to refund me the cost of a replacement. After installing the leadscrew, I put it to work. The supplied spindle, surprisingly, has very little runout and had no problem chewing through pine, pvc and mdf with a single flute endmill. I've recently upgraded to the makita router and am looking forward to some aluminum projects. So far, it's met my expectations. ... show more

  • SOLID PURCHASE
Color: 3030-evo Pro
I was contemplating other machines around 1k+, the price point on this at 700 was very comfortable and i figured well lets see, seems alright. When this came in i was shocked at the very good packaging, the gantry and the table were seperate although both fully assembled, instructions were crystal clear english, even came with some helpful items during assembly such as spacers for the t slot nuts that slide around and all, and shims for alignment when mounting gantry. anyway, this thing is SOLID, there is literally no play whatsoever in any part of the machine, i jogged around the machine a bit and im setting up some home and probe macros here, but im excited to see this thing rip some cuts, should handle aluminum like a beast and from what i've seen online, it does. UPDATE: great customer service, the power adapter was faulty they offered replacement but I had extra one lying around. Also this thing shreds aluminum. Clean smooth cuts I have a good aluminum single flute running 300mm feed 1mm depth cut, with makita router mod, it can go way faster, I just haven't tested enough to share results but those settings I've tested and I get super clean even pattern professional cuts 2ND UPDATE: BOYYYYYYYY this thing rips, love it, shredding aluminum 1mm depth 1000mm feed rate is pretty solid for fast smooth cuts. havent tried steel yet will update later when i try steel, but i made a nice enclosure and all for this thing got the shop vac hooked up with a 3d printed attachment i found on thingyverse that slips right over the makita router, havent had any issues this thing performs well, also i just been using UGS software which i like alot with the x y and z probing and macros ... show more

  • SOLID MACHINE, SOLID CUSTOMER SERVICE
Color: 3030-evo Pro
The media could not be loaded. Right when I received and opening the box of this 3030 EVO Pro, I could tell that this machine was built by a company that cares about their products. It came in a thick solid cushions and not just a styrofoam. The instruction manual is well written and easy to understand that makes the assembly a breeze. The body of this CNC feels like a tank that is solid and has a lot of weight to it. Their customer service is very responsive and helpful. I sent them an email about a technical question and they got back with me the same day. I am SUPER HAPPY with my purchase and I highly recommend this machine. ... show more

  • Easy setup, excellent machine to learn on.
Color: 3030-evo Pro
I ordered this machine to dip my toes into CNC. Shipping was quick, and setup was very easy. I was missing the guide to set the gantry at the right depth on the Y-axis so I sent an email to the support team and they replied within minutes with the information that I needed. I have since cut some plywood and MDF, using this tool in conjunction with Fusion 360 and have had really great results. The ultra-rigid gantry is a huge improvement over the other available options. I set up the optional 10W laser module last night and ran a few test jobs and once again had to reach out to the support team for some specifications and they replied again within minutes. Anolex support seems to be on top of things and are very knowledgeable. It's great to be able to reach out with questions and get responses quickly as to not waste time while trying to run jobs. ... show more
