  • Works Amazing To Switch between PC and Work Laptop!
Size: DisplayPort Switch
Using this on my 34" monitor at 144 Hertz. Over all this works well to let me switch between my work laptop and personal workstation. No issues overall I highly recommend this!

  • You get what you pay for with this (Refresh rate does not update when switching sometimes)
Size: DisplayPort Switch
I purchased two of these to use two monitors between two separate GPUs. The GPUs and monitors are set to 144hz refresh rate. I use these to multiboot between Windows 10 and my Hackintosh. These little bi direction switches somewhat exceeded my expectations. However, sometimes (maybe 3 out of every 10 times) when I switch between monitors using the select switch, the switch does not match the refresh rate the GPUs are set to (it goes to like 50 or 60hz; very noticeable). In order to fix this I found a small work around: simply press the switch button again as if you're switching monitors and then switch back to your active GPU by pressing the switch again. For some reason, this works every-time to reset the refresh rate to the GPUs configuration. You can also reset the refresh rate in your OS and then set it back, that also seems to do the trick. For $25 each, I guess I can live with it but I will eventually upgrade to some beefier bi direction switches. These are just cheap, but it works. I'm more of a 'better value' guy, not cheap. ... show more

  • Does what its supposed to...
Size: DisplayPort Switch
I needed a DP switch for a situation involving a 3rd monitor, and this unit switch does the job perfectly. I don't use that monitor for anything with high demands (gaming, video production, CAD, etc.) so I can't speak to the performance side of it. A few things from the design of the unit that could be improved are (although it seems almost all are like this one): 1. I would prefer to have all the connectors on the back side of it. Having the cables plug in from on opposite sides makes it difficult to place on my desk and I have it sitting sideways. 2. The blue LEDs are very small and dim, and due to me having to put it further back on my desk, it's difficult to get a visual on it. This is really a petty complaint but something I noticed. If you're looking for something that simply switches the input DP signal to a monitor, so far this unit has worked well. ... show more

  • Problem Solved
Size: DisplayPort Switch
I have 2 displays, one of which I split between my main PC and a server. Once I upgraded the server GPU from an older NVIDIA card to an AMD one, the HDMI switch I had been using no longer worked. This DisplayPort switch solved my problem. I am only running it at 2k 75Hz so I don’t know about 4k. It has been totally plug and play for me though. NOTE: USB power is REQUIRED and the switch will NOT function without it. They include a USB-C male (switch input) to USB-A male (power output) cable to plug it in, and their instructions suggest that it should be powered by USB-C to USB-A cable NOT a USB-C to USB-C C cable. A C-C cable MAY work but it is not recommended and I have not tried it. I have USB -A power outlets all over the place so it was not an issue for me, but you may need a wall wart if you have no free ports or available USB charging outlets. ... show more

  • May be issue with docking station.
Size: DisplayPort Switch
This requires constant 5V power. Many pictures displaying it do not show this. (Okay, one needs to dig a bit deeper.) This device encasement is metal and definitely has an industrial feel. This is not negative, but just information I share. I think that without a docking station, the problem described below would go away. >>>>>>> Here is the main thing which does not work as I thought it would. It may be that the docking station is causing some delay. Thoughts are welcome. PARTS: +computer1: new Dell laptop with very good graphics card. *using a docking station* +computer2: new Dell desktop with very good graphics card. +DP Switch (to toggle DisplayPort inputs to monitor) +monitor problem: Step1: set switch so monitor displays computer1. - OK Step2: put some ProgramA on monitor (from computer1) - OK Step3: switch the switch so that monitor displays computer2 - OK //small delay of about 10seconds Step4: switch the switch so that the monitor displays computer1 - PROBLEMS Problem1: it takes about 25seconds Problem2: it seems as if computer1 is recognizing monitor for the first time. programA is no longer on monitor where I put it in Step2. I think the connection between the docking station and the switch is the problem. Because, I think the switch is completely disconnecting from the docking station. In fact, in Step3, when I switch the switch, ProgramA already moved back to computer1 (to the laptops screen). Any ideas? Are there some DP switches that will solve this problem? Unfortunately my laptop does not have a DP output. The docking station does, and that is how I planned to use this. ... show more

  • Good Product that Works
Size: DisplayPort Switch
I am using a singular 3440x1440 ultrawide monitor that only has one DisplayPort. I wanted to connect my laptop and my desktop via the DisplayPort because fps/hz over hdmi is capped at 50fps/hz with my model of monitor. This switch runs games at 120+ FPS at the specified resolution above and switches between both PCs with ease. It also transfers sound without any hiccups or issues as well! I am not getting the performance of a DisplayPort cable with the ease of pressing a button. Housing of the unit is metal, and the button to switch is plastic. I am not a huge fan of the design being power and DisplayPort on one side, and two DisplayPorts on the other. I would prefer to have it all on one side, but that is a personal preference. I highly recommend this item to anyone trying to achieve what I stated above. ... show more

  • Quality splitter! Highly recommend
Size: DisplayPort Switch
I have this splitter for my Dell 32in Curved Gaming Monitor. I have my Alienware laptop and Lenovo work laptop both going into the switch box. It changes easily with no issues. I have my gaming laptop hooked up with a USB-C to DP gold plated cord. There was absolutely no loss in frames while playing CS:GO. I believe this USB-C to DP provides power as well because I do not need the provided power cable wire to play. That may be different for others, so don't buy it specifically because I said this. Either way, this is a perfect switch box and I highly recommend it. ... show more
