No, these work boots are quite lightweight due to the synthetic material used on the sole. We managed to build the boots about 20% lighter than normal work boots, and still got decent grip with reliable wear-resistance ability.

Absolutely Love these bad boys. It's safe to order to your size. I wear an 11, but I got a half size up and they fit pretty loose. Nothing that adding a sole can't fix. These were ordered for work, I'm a Truck Driver so I do a lot of outdoors work in all types of environments so far they been holding up just fine. I purchased these instead of Ariat or Haix for running calls on the fire department. I will come back and upload a picture soon. 1st, I wore them to the station and immediately I could tell I needed to purchase insoles. ( my weight 220 lbs) I can feel the construction of the boot as I walked. The insole that came with the boot is super thin. I then wore the boots for 2 shifts at the station. The soles rubber is painted black and chipping so I can now see brown underneath and the chipping gets worse each day. I barely kicked a door frame and a chunk came off the tip. These are not work boots, They will not last me long. Do yourself a favor, spend the extra money for something quality. I purchased Haix boots for $400 that lasted me over 10 years. It's been about a month and the toe area of the boot is worn down to the steel already. I crawl under houses and work around rocks and concrete so a lot of time these boots are upside down. So I put part of the blame on the work environment. Inexpensive work boots are heavy and uncomfortable. These boots are light and comfortable. When I purchased them they were $69 and I see they have went up $20 more. If I was financially struggling and needed a boot I would purchase them again. But if I could afford it it would purchase a more expensive higher quality of boot. They have an attractive appearance. But I'm not like how fast they are worn out at the toe. The material is extremely thin. The size is to wide but the length is okay. They are waterproof and steel toed but just to wide in the metatarsal area.
