I use this with my go pro. So no need for the remote since with go pro your phone is the remote. So left that blank since can't rate it. What I can rate it is sturdy and easy to adjust. Which I love. Had the turn one before this one and was good but in less then like a month it was getting stuck and couldn't twist to lengthen or shorten. So I went with this one with individual clips. Which you can cut short if you don't want that section to fully extended you don't have to. Can cut it off short. When ready to go just unclip and slide down to close and pretty compact. Carrying bag is nice too. So far hasn't follow over yet either for me and dont need any other attachment. Only thing bad was the go pro attachment that came with it. Wasn't able to use since didn't fit where you attach it at. Already had attachment so was goo for me but if didn't have that and was hoping that would do you may be disappointed. So I would recommend ordering a side attachment for go pro. For gopro staying attach its pretty sturdy and doesn't loosen. Also has like a turning thing that helps with tightening. Which I never seen or used before. So at this time I would recommend this stand for anyone that need one for recording yourself at gym and so on. Edit: change to 4 stars since after 7 months it broke. So gonna reorder or look for new one. ... show more

The tripod does exactly as described. We ordered it for use with our cell phones and GoPro (Hero 9) during our recent trip to Costa Rica. It worked great if using voice commands for the GoPro and self-timer on the phones, but the remote was finicky and ultimately of little use. It needed a direct path to the phone, so there was no way to hold it subtly or try to hide it in a picture, or it wouldn't connect. Needs a stronger signal. I’ve had it for just a week or so, and these are my initial impressions. It’s a nice little tripod for a cell phone, and the height it reaches is impressive. It’s lightweight. That’s the good news. The downside: the legs’ length can’t be adjusted and so it has to be put on a totally level surface or it’ll tip over. That’s the biggest problem in my opinion. I like doing more than just simple snap shots taken on developed surfaces like a sidewalk or inside a house. The spring clamp for the phone doesn’t have much depth to it, and so it doesn’t do a good job of holding my phone which has a thick case surrounding it, and I’ve had to remove it for it to fit better. The ‘selfie stick’ is nothing more than the legs kept closed. I had thought from the image that the center pole came out but it’s riveted in. So it’s a rather large and heavy selfie stick and certainly not something you can stick in a pocket. The remote control button works but the little cover that holds the battery is very loose and it popped off unbeknownst to me very quickly and the battery fell out. I was lucky and was able to find them by chance. I’ve now stuck a rubber band around them to keep it on tight, but that did not impress me. ... show more
