This is the third small, portable airbrush which I have tried, and the best by a mile. It costs a little more than the least expensive, (while many lesser sets are the same price) but the improvements are absolutely worth the difference. It comes with a better airbrush and a better compressor, and even better instructions in the use and proper maintenance. Everything you need is included, but for the pigment. There are brief instructions, but detailed enough that anyone ought to be able to get started using it. I would post some pictures but it seems the paint I need is at the post office. The paint I used to try it out was watered down so much that it barely shows dry (though it looked OK wet). I guess that is part of the learning curve. Using this set I was able to get a better line, as well as a broader spray pattern than with the other airbrushes. I think this is a great set for anyone starting out, or for someone who uses it occasionally. For many it will simply be good enough (that you will not need or want to upgrade). Update January 7, 2022: Company demonstrated excellent customer service, reaching out to resolve the compressor issue. They expressed genuine concern about customer satisfaction, and standing behind their products. As such, with a fully operational compressor, this set now functions very well. Seeing the airbrush's performance, the significant other wants to claim it so she can paint her white sneakers, haha. So, as mentioned, this is a complete airbrush set, with very credible components. With the replacement compressor, and the excellent customer service/satisfaction, this product offering now garners a 4.5 - 4.75 star rating, with a high level recommendation. This is a complete airbrush set, which would be great for the beginner. It would also probably be fine for limited cake decorations, too. The reasoning for this assessment is the 'paint well'. It's fixed onto the handle, not a replaceable reservoir. More versatile airbrushes have a threaded connection, so that different capacity reservoir/wells can be attached. (There are airbrushes that have a suction, with potentially larger capacity, with use of jars or hoses into a large container. These brushes typically handle thicker liquids and for large target areas. In my opinion, in a different category than this product.) The product is fairly easy to set up, attaching hoses to the airbrush and the compressor. There is variable control of the air pressure. It should be adequate for small model painting, cake decoration and makeup/body art application. The compressor I received might be defective, it started out fine but then had an irregular sound, with poor air pressure. I checked the hose and connections, hoping that there was leak affecting the air pressure. To no avail, I couldn't find any leak or connection issue. This morning, I tried anew, and the problem worsened. The compressor noise got worse, and I started to detect an odd smell. So, I turned it off, and unplugged it. It is a good set, for it's intended purposes. Unfortunately, the key component, the compressor, failed. This substantially affects the rating. As such, it earns a 2 star rating. ... show more

    • Complete For A Beginner & Fits Other Airbrushes For Professional Artists
Anesty Airbrush Kit with Air Compressor, Upgraded Air Brush Kit with High Pressure & Variable Adjustment Airbrushing System for Model Makeup Tattoo Mural Fabric Painting Craft Hobby Cake Decorating is really complete for my airbrushing needs. I have used a few smaller airbrushes for the small doll work I do. From airbrushing a face on a doll to spraying an entire dollhouse wall, this set is way better than the airbrushes where you have to hold the small compressor and gun both in your hand. With this compressor, I’m only holding the gun, giving me complete control and less fatigue. You control the airflow with a knob and it’s pretty easy to figure out the spray coming out as the knob goes from 20 to 43 PSI. So, even without numbers to read as with an expensive compressor, this works well with a small learning curve. The set includes the compressor with rubber feet, the airbrush with the needle and nozzle caps, the air hose, AC adapter, airbrush holder, cleaning brushes and a rubber mat. The airbrush included only has a cup and lid, no attachment for a bottle for large painting. BUT, the best thing, is this compressor can also use many other brands of air brushes and my Paasche air brush that does hold a large bottle fits perfectly. If you have another air brush that can be connected to a 1/8th BSP female air hose, you are all set. A direction booklet is also included. I absolutely love this set, as it’s complete for a beginner and still perfect for an artist who can also attach another more professional air brush.
