  • I can actually use my phone now!
Format: Paperback
My daughter forced me into getting a smartphone and I got an Android model like she has. I came from a regular style phone, so this was my first one. This book really helped me to get up and running with my new phone and showed me how to use many of the features I was previously having trouble with. I'm still not expert but I am much better off than I was before! ... show more

  • My mom now calls me less often for help!
Format: Paperback
My mom switched from an iPhone to an Android because I have one and it would make it easier for me to help her. She still wasn't getting it so I got her this book and it actually helped her figure out how to use her phone.

  • Didn't find this very helpful
Format: Paperback
While there were some helpful things in this book, like setting up Gmail account and some basic information I found it lacking. I got much better info by going on the internet and finding a beginner tutorial for my new Samsung Galaxy phone. Doesn't even show you how to organize home screen etc. The author is using Google Pixel phone. While a lot is the same a lot is very different. The author wasted pages on payment plans, smart phones vs cell phones, android vs iphone, games. Since it is beginner guide in Android phones stick to that. I am sure there are much better books out there than this. I am a senior that is not very tech savy but this was a waste for me. ... show more
