I’m 5’11” and 180lbs and in good shape, ordered large and they have just enough wiggly room I don’t feel choked or trapped. A medium would have been too small for me. And X-Large would have draped. The 100% cotton thermals work great. I have bought six pairs of them. They are perfect for cold winters in Maine. They are warm, comfortable, and allow the skin to breath. They are better then then the polyester thermals that were causing a skin irrational.

I bought size XL (I'm between L or XL) of the three pack of different colors. I washed these by themselves in cold water, with cold rinse. I partially dried them for 2-to-4 minutes in a gas dryer. Then I hung them up to air dry. Partly drying them in a dryer gets out wrinkles. The pants are so small I can't even pull them on (I tried all three colors, but all seem the same size by eye). The leg cuffs have very little stretch, thus why I can't even pull them on, and my legs are skinny below my knees. These XLs are probably a Medium. I'm shocked at how small they are. As I've laundered them they can't be returned, so these will go to a local charity. I own other underwear from this brand (generously-sized boxers with lots of waistband stretch), so I'm puzzled by this size issue. Thanks for reading my review. ... show more

These 100% cotton thermal underwear didn't shrink much at all and I washed it in hot water as well as ran it threw the dryer on high heat. I bought a large size and it is still larger than medium.
