I bought this to protect my garden from deer and other foragers. I ran three layers of wire and it works fine so far. My neighbor's pets have figured out how to get through the gate. I may electrify the gate to keep them out. Right now they are not doing any damage.

I have a bully of a horse that loves to break fences deliberately which would hurt himself and then other horses he got in with. I’ve used other boxes that didn’t seem to deliver enough to really deter him. But this one has been great! He stays a respectful distance off the fence. Item worked as advertised once I figured out that you have to connect the battery. I didn't see it in the instructions that the battery came disconnected during shipping. Finally saw it on the website and once I took the back off and connected it the fence worked great.

This charger survived a major storm sat in a puddle of water for a couple days and still worked fantastic. Only downfall is the instructions aren't great on what the difference between the auto and night mode are
