  • Solid, sharp, versatile
These have a wonderful and substantial heft to them. Solid metal body feels like a real machine, not some cheap toy. They are extremely versatile, but you’ll have to get the blade guards. I picked up the snap on guards but would’ve preferred the magnetic. I dropped them once and they started to make a racket. But there are so many videos on how to fix it and other problems that I never needed to call the helpline. Yes, they were pricier than many of the models sold at drug stores, but I expect these to last the rest of my natural life. Look, I’m not getting the expensive haircuts I used to and as long as I am self-isolating, a slick buzz cut is fine for me. These have already paid for themselves. And like I said, I expect these to give me many many more years of haircuts. ... show more

  • I've used Several clippers over the last 10 years and these are the best
I've been cutting my own hair for 10 years now. Prior to these clippers I was using the Oster Fast Feed and the Wahl 5 Star Series, but these clippers are significantly better. I never new to what degree those two were lacking until I used these. What separates these clippers from the other two is the power. As a result the time it takes me to cut my hair is significantly reduced with these clippers. I was hesitant to purchase these because several reviewers mentioned that these get hot relatively fast... and it takes me a while to cut my hair (I watch tutorials on Youtube and it takes them like 10 minutes, unfortunately that is not my process). And come to find out a large part of the reason it always took me so long to cut my hair is those previous clippers don't have the cutting power and I would have to repeatedly go over areas and when the clippers aren't doing the job they're supposed too, it ends up being a visual challenge with the lighting to see if it's fading correctly, but with these there's no need to second guess or go over twice. I just cut my hair with these for the first time and it only took me a half hour, which is 4 times faster than it usually takes me (and that was a first time so next time it will be even faster). The clippers where starting to get a little hot, but nothing extreme. I would guess if you needed to go longer than 45 minutes you may have to let these rest up a bit for 5 minutes or so, but given how well these cut it's worth it. These are heavy clippers, but I don't see that as a negative. Noise level is slightly louder than the other clippers, which I don't see as a negative either. They're naturally going to be a little louder when they're putting out a lot more power. It's about the same loudness as other professional level clippers, when I used to go to the barber. ... show more

  • Cuts really close and clean.
I use it to cut my own hair and friend's hair. It's very sharp and cuts well. It's solid and heavy and feels like a well made tool. It does get warm after running for a while (about 30 minutes) but it's not scorching hot. Becareful about dropping it. It is a precision tool and require tuning once it's dropped. I dropped it 3 feet(bathroom sink) once and had to adjust the internals. Not really a simple thing to do for an average buyer. It hasn't cut the same since and I'm looking into finding someone to fix it. ... show more

  • Powerful Trimmer
Have used it twice so far and am very satisfied. Having a corded trimmer vs a rechargeable battery one is like black and white. It easily cuts through my coarse, thick, heavy hair like a hot knife through butter and takes half the time. Was concerned with some comments stating they received a used item I opened the box warily, but found a brand new item. ... show more

  • These are great clippers. I like the fade hairstyle and have ...
These are great clippers. I like the fade hairstyle and have always used Wahl clippers. Wahl Clippers have a reputation of giving many years of dependable service without the need for repairs. I have a set of Wahl Home cuts that have been great for over 18 years. I decided to upgrade, so I went with the Wahl Legends, which by the way is an excellent clipper. But after reviewing the Andis Fade Masters, I decided to give them a try. I already have a pair of Andis Outliner II's and I have been very pleased with them. After receiving the Fade Masters and setting them to zero gap, I already knew that this was MY NEW CLIPPER! They are built like a tank, so they immediately passed the eye test. I purposely let my hair grow out about twice as long as I usually wear it, in order to give the clippers a realistic workout. The Fade Masters immediately blazed through the hair and what was so surprising was that they did not leave the feeling of my head being cut up 9like the Wahl Legends). After the cut, I immediately doused my head with alcohol (the green kind) like I always do. Although it did sting a bit, it was no where near as severe as the cuts with the Wahl Legends.. Don't get me wrong, there is nothing at all wrong with the Wahl Legends, but I think that the extra money for the Fade Masters will be well spent. I tend to keep items for a very long time. I have worked in retail of over 30 years, and I quickly realized that paying extra money for a better product usually pays dividends over the long run. I will continue to use Wahl's as my backup, but the Fade Master is definitely my new "go to" clipper. ... show more

  • Fales advertisement
As you can see from the picture that the clippers have been used. False advertisement definitely not new. As you can see on the box they are supposed to be Fade Masters. These are regular masters in a Fade Master box.

  • Clipper
Love my purchase of these clipper

  • Favorite Clipper
I've used exclusively Wahl in the past, then I decided to try these out...and they are my favorite clipper so far! They are the heaviest clippers I've used, they are a little noisy, and they will heat up after prolonged use. The clipper is not technically advanced in anyway like some of the Wahl's I've used. However, the construction is solid, the motor is stronger than any I've used so far, and the cuts are precise and consistent. This day and age I expect clippers to be quieter, smaller, and lighter, but this clipper is a bit "old-school", but it works, bottom-line. This clipper is built for professionals who cut daily. I expect this thing to last a long, long time. ... show more
