The media could not be loaded. What's not to love about colored glass kitchen wares? I did not need another set of mixing bowls, but I really love the color Anchor or Pyrex. These are cool. One of my bowls did have a small bubble but I am not planning on putting these in the oven so hopefully that won't matter. I chose the blue but they also have green and rose! I was so looking forward to these. The second smallest bowl is broken and the largest bowl is defective. I would have liked to just replace the bad ones but it looks like all I can do is return it. It could have been packed better too

Briefly, a nice and cost-effective assortment of bowls, but one arrived cracked. The bowls are a little heavy compared to steel or plastic, but otherwise fine. The sizes proved quite convenient for making pancakes, from spices and melted butter, to batter mixing size. And all into the dishwasher afterwards! I wanted some bowls of domestic origin, and no steel products qualified. The glass bowls are a little heavier, and clearly fragile. Are others have noted, one of the middle ones was cracked on delivery. I think the problem is that the AH packing is into a tight cardboard box, but that box is just placed in a larger Amazon box with essentially no padding around it, so bounces around. I contemplated return, but decided to compromise on a 9-bowl set. ... show more

    • Just what I needed!

I love these bowls. Well made, real glass, TONS of uses from baking ingredients pre-measured and laid out, condiment bowls, salad ones, eating, mixing, chip or candy dish or other assorted nibbles like olives spread out when holding an after work, relaxed wine and cheese meal when you just want simple over fancy, (but better than just jars opened,) including the easy clean-up. Topping the uses is that the set is nesting so ten bowls get stored all in the space just for the largest one. Flat as well, so the basket of measuring spoons and cups plus can be placed right on top, everything needed to bake with kept together in one place. Very hard to pick out the most usable size in the set since even the tiniest 1oz is perfect to hold the dry yeast in when making a multi-flour loaf in the bread machine. Or dried spices for something else. Busy household, and there's nothing worse than being interrupted and forgetting what was already added or not to something when you finally can get back to it. Along with the bowl set I picked up some silicone 'stretch lids' so now have covers that fit when something needs popping in the fridge or items like beans or oats need to soak while keeping curious cat paws out. Note that a couple, but not all of the bowls do have tiny air bubbles or minor line ripples under a quarter of an inch in the glass here and there. These are not elegant crystal, but they are solid and feel like will last through a lot of use. A bit heavy when all are together, but that just adds to the stability factor in my book.
