I bought these to run a coax through a window. I installed an OTA antenna outside my home and needed a way to bring the cable inside. The flat cables came in a plastic ziplock bag. After connecting the first one I had no signal on my TV. I did check to make sure everything was working prior to installing the cable. I disconnected it and tried the second one. The second one worked fine. I have not noticed any change in my picture quality. The window it is running rarely opens, so I am hoping this lasts a long time.     • Failed after 36 days Perfect solution. instead of drilling. too bad it died so fast
Update, reducing to 2 star. Failed in 36 days. This went under a modern storm/screen slide window, the kind you can unlatch the window and pivot in for easy cleaning. One day turned on the tube, no signal. Discovered the copper wire inside had broken. Disappointed because it was exactly the right solution. So I gave one star back. YAAAAY no holes to drill. I needed to bring an RG6 cable into my bedroom but I loathed drilling a hole in my wall. This fit the bill perfectly and my double pane slide window closes just fine ... show more

You'll need at least 2 of these items to do the job, because they are basically junk. They will not endure any continuous pressure. If you open one, which I did, after it failed, you'll find aluminum foil and copper wire with a insulating sleeve. After a day of usage the first one failed. I intended to find a solution that would seamlessly work without enhancement, like tape or other fastening that cheapens the look of your camper and creates a gunky mess. I bought these so I wouldn’t have to drill into the walls. After 6 months of having these in the window, they stopped working. We open and close the windows at least a couple times a day. I believe that it the reason why they stopped working because they are very fragile. It looks like the wire inside broke its connection. These are cheaply made with no protection to the wire inside. If you buy these make sure not to touch them too much after installation. ... show more

    • It's RG-6 75 ohm, instead of 50 ohm
They came undamaged. They seem to work and perform as advertised. But, if you are using these for cell phone boosters, which require 50 ohm cable, these reduce the performance of your cell booster. They also have F connectors, so you have to get cable with F, not S, connectors or use adapters.

    • Factory packaging ruined the cables
Flat co-ax cable is a great product idea, and these cables were made ok, but the idiotic packaging ruined these cables. Rather than package them flat (they are only 9 inches long) or package them rolled up, they were CRIMPED in half to fit into a small plastic bag! That of course severely weakened the wires and shortened the lifespan for these cables. ... show more

I needed to get coax outside at a relatives apartment to place a TV antenna, naturally we cannot drill holes so the solution was through the French door side that was not used. Worked perfectly.
