    • A warm brown wax/mousse hybrid that lasts all day and the color stays true.
This color is a warm brown with reddish undertones. I had been using Blond but it's a little too light and I have since darkened my hair a level, so I thought Soft Brown would work better. It didn't. The fashion magazines say that for blonds, the brows should be two shades darker than the hair. My hair is a warm dark blond with a lot of gold in it so this color didn't work too well for me. My brows are still a neutral brown and Soft Brown isn't dark enough but with the red undertone, it's clearly the wrong color. In other words, you can tell I've done something a bit drastic. On the plus side, however, you need very little product and too much will result in a very fake drawn-on look. I daintily dip my brush and then wipe it off on the back of my hand before applying to my brows. This seems to work well. This is a much lighter color than chocolate (which also has a red undertone I've since discovered), which I was going to get until I saw soft brown. I think Medium Brown is the way to go. I have the Anastasia brow powder duo in Medium Brown and it works great, just not in the hot weather. I have oily skin and Dipbrow lasts all day and doesn't change color at all. It stays put. And yet, if you make a mistake, it can be wiped off easily if you're quick about it and you can start over. I apply this right after my foundation but before loose powder. The powder seems to help the Dipbrow set. My brows are sparse in places and Dipbrow helps to emphasize them, giving my face balance. I advise using a very fine angled brush to apply this, the thinner and stiffer the better. I use a Japonesque travel brow brush, which is pretty fine but I may buy an Anastasia brush eventually. You need a minuscule amount of product for each application. The pot is a decent size and will last years, so it's a good beauty buy. All in all, I'm pleased with the way Dipbrow works, I just need to find the right color. I highly recommend this product. ... show more

All the girls at my workplace have the most perfect eyebrows, and I finally worked up the nerve to ask them how they do their eyebrows (I have very sparse, thin Asian eyebrows). They all swear by this Anastasia Dipbrow, so I decided to use some Amazon points to try it out. Lo and behold, this is the holy grail of eyebrow products. Before, I was using a range of cheaper eyebrow pencils and powders to more expensive things like the Urban Decay brow box. Nothing worked. I had almost given up. But thank goodness they told me about this, because now.. this is the only product for me! Make sure to get an angled brush (I use an angled eyeliner brush) and if you're hopeless at eyebrows like me, try googling "how to apply Anastasia Dipbrow" lol. The great thing about it is that it looks so natural, stays put, and if you brush it over your eyebrow hairs, it'll color the hairs to match the rest. No more eyebrow mascara needed! I have light brown hair so this "soft brown" color actually looks pretty dark when you apply it (I tried to use a little and apply thinly but it still comes out dark). If you have light brown hair, I might suggest a lighter color like blonde if you want your eyebrows to match your hair color. I like this pomade but as usual, there are pros and cons. The pros are - it goes on nicely, it stays on all day and is somewhat water/sweat resistant. I have it on when at the gym and sweating and I have no issues with it coming off. There is a good amount of product in the container. I have been using it for months and there is a lot left. Cons - The product does start drying up on the top and when applying the dried up bit to my eyebrows it flakes off and the little bits fall on my face which prompts for clean up. Also, the color is darker than anticipated. I try to apply gently, if I apply too think, it will turn out too dark. Next time I will have to buy a shade or two lighter. ... show more
