  • Sleek Design & Easy MonitoringThe transparent upper cover allows for instant, clear observation of filament colors and remaining filament within your AMS Lite. Its minimalist design, featuring a white base and orange connectors, offers a clean, attractive look and a precise, custom fit achieved through 3D scanning. AMS Lite Enclosure can be perfectly installed without the need to disassemble the AMS Lite.
  • Premium Durability & Build Quality Constructed from high-strength, injection-molded components using a 200-ton machine. Engineered for exceptional durability and long-term reliability, providing robust protection for your AMS Lite system.
  • Maintain Optimal Filament DrynessDesiccant is a consumable, and its effectiveness varies by environment. Regularly monitor the humidity in each storage area via the hygrometers and replace the desiccant promptly (e.g., 20g silica gel desiccant) to maintain ideal conditions, ensuring consistent print quality and optimal 3D printing results.
  • Please noteThis product does not include AMS Lite. AMS Lite needs to be purchased separately from Bambulab. The AMS Lite enclosure is only compatible with AMS Lite.

Description

AMS Lite is an excellent Multi-Color 3D Printing System, but its positioning means it lacks sealing of filament, and using damp filament will result in reduced print quality. So we developed a sealing box specifically for AMS Lite, which allows AMS Lite to be used like AMS Pro.Make "Lite" like "Pro". Four independent, dust-proof and sealed compartments. Through sophisticated design, the desiccant in each 3D printing filament compartment can be replaced independently, ensuring the four 3D printing filament storage environments do not affect each other. Each compartment is also equipped with a hygrometer and thermometer for independent monitoring of humidity and temperature conditions. All product components are injection-molded using a 200-ton machine, providing increased strength and durability for long-term use. The cleverly designed upper and lower stands allow AMS Lite to be placed vertically, reducing its floor space by half and further saving your desk space.

  • AMS Lite enclosure solution that is polished and turnkey with a little room for improvement....
Being an owner of a BAMBU LAB A1 printer (btw great beginner printer) with the AMS Lite, I have always wanted to print my own AMS Lite enclosure from the MakerWorld site to gain some filament moisture absorption control and to leave my filament out longer between projects. I saw this enclosure for sale and online and thought I would give it try versus the time and filament needed to make one and the potential fitment issues. Assembly was pretty straight forward (directions illustrated well), and I too had some difficulty getting the orange clips that hold the clear covers installed to the clear covers. I took some time and slightly heated the clip portions that snap into the covers with a hair dryer and got them all installed. The rest of the installation was fine. I found having the parts injection molded worked well for fitment and stiffness. The same may be achieved with a similar printed version with material filament choices, but the injected molded parts, to me, would seem to be superior in that respect and successfully getting the gaskets implemented could be challenging if one were to print an enclosure. Having the gaskets is key to keeping the moisture out. In practice and in use, it takes some practice to load filament spools in and out of the AMS Lite with the new enclosure installed as the filament has to be started into the feeder with the spool off the AMS Lite spool holder and then installed to the holder (you have to be quick) due to limited room inside. In the room we have the printer in the humidity is typically 48% to 61% RH. With the desiccants installed and the enclosure sealed up I was seeing hygrometers readings in about 1-1.5 days of around 23% to 27% on avg that were consistent. I have not had it long enough to have a good idea how long the desiccants last. I believe you should dry your filament first via a dryer and then this would be good for maintaining filament for projects and extended periods of time for peace of mind. I am happy with my purchase and the product, as I was looking for more of a turn-key assembly in my case. Some things I would like to see different or would change would be the following: 1) Change the shape of the white bodies to be straight at the bottom near the desiccant holders instead of following the curve of the spools to allow for more finger room to access and load spool filament and remove filament and spools without fear of the filament spring out about the spool upon removal (I get it this would make the for more mirrored left and right parts and increase cost) -OR- Make a thin bracket with the inboard features of the desiccant holders so it could snap in to hold the middle of the enclosure together which would stay in place (like what the desiccant holders do now) and have the remaining space so the desiccant holders (little bit shallower) could slide in and out. This would allow for plenty of room for loading and removing filament and filament spools and then you simply install the desiccant holders into place after spool installation. 2) Sell replacement parts for the unit like the clips that hold the clear covers on, desiccant holders, and/or especially the rubber grommets where the filament leaves the enclosure and enters the AMS Lite feeder. They do include an extra set of grommets in the kit, which is good, but they too, will not last forever. So, being able to buy parts would be great to me as we are a community of makers and tinkerers that like to modify things to suite our needs. I am thinking if I had another set of desiccant holders, I could mod the ones that came with the enclosure to do what I was thinking in point "1" perhaps, but this is not a deal breaker. I applaud and appreciate the company for what they have designed (polished and finished) and made for users like me, there is always room for small updates. I have my AMS Lite on the Bambu Lab Y stand (traditional way), so I have not tried the optional vertical placement with the included support feet but will try it later to get more room. So, in a nutshell, I really think this enclosure makes a difference with the moisture as I believe I can leave my filament installed longer than normal without worry between and during projects and I do appreciate having individual spool covers that are clear to see the filament levels, and I like the gasket joints. I will update my review over time, if needed. Thanks! ... show more

  • Difficult initial assembly but responsive support from vendor
I also had trouble installing the locks and asked for assistance from the vendor through Amazon. My request was answered very quickly and the seller posted a new video on Amazon with better information on how to do this. I would also like to pass to others that the hole in one side of the bracket is bigger and I found the pin is super easy to twist in when the pin is first inserted in the bigger hole. It initially took me 30 minutes to install 1 lock and about 7 minutes to complete the final 15. Kudos to the vendor because without their help I would have returned it. So far it’s good, I just have to finish assembly and try it out. BTW, the ‘dry box’ this provides is critical for 3d printing in coastal Florida where morning humidity can be in the 90%+ levels. Once I use this, I’ll follow up with revised comments. ... show more

  • Great but one caveat
It fits great but now the RFID tags for my Bambu filaments are no longer reading.

  • Easy set up, works great
Works great! Was easy to setup. Like that i can opt to have my arms upright or the original way on its stand.

  • Difficult to assemble, but responsive and helpful seller
UPDATE: the seller was extremely responsive and sent me replacement pieces! Super cool trinkets too. It was a bit of a hassle to assemble, but I feel better knowing it didn't come from a greedy corp but some super kind people who care about their customers. Changing to 5 stars, but please be careful when assembling the clips! The clips are extremely difficult to put into the clear panels. I had put 15/16 in and the last one snapped immediately. I followed the installation and assemble instructions to the letter. Amazon won't help me reach the seller, and a broken clip could means the seal to the entire case isn't complete and basically renders the entire thing useless. UPDATE; currently in contact with the seller to figure out a resolution. So far so good, I'll be editing my review depending on the result. ... show more

  • SMART DESIGNNN!!!
Once printed an AMS LITE enclosure from MakerWorld, but it didn’t really do much for sealing. Now someone’s finally made a fully enclosed version — and it can even stand upright. Each of the four compartments can hold its own desiccant dry box.
