The amphibious car works really well. It goes fast on land, slower on water, and transitions well from one to the other. My 8 year old grandson loved playing with it in the pool. Only issue is that the battery only lasts about 15 minutes and although it comes with 2 battery packs, changing out the battery requires screws and a small screw driver that comes with the car. Great toy and exciting to use especially in the pool. Bought two but one had a remote which didn’t want to work properly then it stopped completely after only three days. Returning the bad unit leaving one rc car between two grandsons! Squabbling has erupted!

I brought this present for a friend's child's birthday. Helpfully both batteries came charged out of the box. However, the charge doesn't last long. I would say that there was about 10-15 minutes of continuous use once the kid started playing with the car, and then the battery died. Swapping the batteries out was easy at least, and the first battery didn't take too long to recharge, but it was still a bit of a pain, because this was the main toy the kid wanted to play with. The water resistance seems to work as well, as the kid immediately drove it through some puddles and it kept going. My son got this for Christmas. After charging, he was excited to try it out. The control was easy to use and the car goes FAST too. He jumped it off the edge of the pool deck and into the pool. I was nervous at first hoping it worked ok.. it sure did.. it zipps through the water like a pro! Then he got it from the pool ,and drove it around the deck some more. First one lasted two weeks when one side stopped working. Followed instructions to try and fix it to no avail. Replaced with a second one which out of the box same issue one side didn't work. Again followed instructions to fix to no avail. Won't order or replace with a third.

This was purchased for a 6 year old boy. I took the time to charge the batteries prior to wrapping the gift so he could open and play with it immediately. His 9 year old brother and and 42 year old father love it, too! It has a very long range and easily navigates all types of terrain. The vehicle is extremely well-made - strong and durable. The 2 brothers love to take turns laying on the ground while the RC operator runs over his brother with the vehicle! They have not tried it in water yet but we have every reason to believe that the water-tight seals will create an exciting ride. I read the reviews of many other RC vehicles before buying this one and appreciate everyone's candid remarks. This is a wonderful toy and is well worth the cost. I bought 2 for my kids they love to play rough with it & it keeps going over tree roots, rocks & all. It's recommended by the manufacturer to not drop from heights, so we don't do that. It goes through wet grass & water no problem. Just pop open the drain holes to ensure it dries out AFTER they're done. Each car comes with an extra battery for nonstop play, (so you don't need to buy extra like I did). Will need a charging port to plug into the wall, a cell phone charger port works great. It comes with a charger with USB end. Check batteries before gifting to be sure they can start playing. Batteries take 2-4 hours to charge depending on how drained they are.     • Great response from the seller when remote failed
My grandsons (ages 6 & 8) had a great time with these cars. They found the remote easy to use to maneuver the cars on the ground and into the lake. The batteries lasted 20-30 minutes before needing to be changed. It was very useful to have a backup battery ready to go when that happened. When one remote failed (not dropped on the ground or in the water) I emailed the seller and received a quick response. In the end, the company stood behind their product and sent a complete replacement. I give them 5 stars for this. ... show more
