The Homer is water resistant with a slipper like feel. It features a soft wool upper with a full faux-shearling lining keeping you warm and cozy, while the molded EVA insole provides added comfort. The classic XTRATUF non-marking Chevron outsole delivers great slip resistance in this easy-to-wear step-in shoe. Based on customer feedback we recommend ordering up one whole size. These shoes are unisex and are suited for women as well as men. When ordering for women simply order a full size down from your regular shoe size (8 1/2 order size 7). My husband an I both got a pair of these slippers and I ended up ordering a second pair. So will he. We need the safety of really grippy soles because 1) we have two Newfoundland dogs who drool all over the place causing slippage when you walk, and they drink a lot of water but dribble it all over, haha. It's a danger I tell ya! These have helped immensely...haven't slipped in my cabin since we got these. 2) We go in and out a lot, not always wanting to change to boots so these are wonderful in that they grip our slippery ground here and are waterproof yet breathable. I've had these for over a year and they have help up great. I usually wear a 10.5 or 11 and I got these in size 11 and they fit perfectly. Some people complain about not being able to put them on which seems to indicate they got too small a size. These slippers are nice and warm and have a thick grippy sole. Purchased these because I wanted some warm slippers that could take walking the dog on cold mornings. So far so good - the fit is a tad tight, which means that the size 10's I purchased fit my 9.5 feet perfectly. The shearling wool has formed to my feet perfectly and they keep my feet warm on my pre-dawn dog walk routine. The sole and tennis-shoe style bumpers are actually non-marking (on boat decks); the only real question is longevity - the uppers are similar to a well-made mukluk - all fabric - so time will tell.... ... show more

What more can I say than it's xtratuf! How can you go wrong? Very warm and waterproof. Used all winter in Montana and my feet very always warm and toasty

I like everything about these shoes except you can't get them on your feet. If XtraTuf could solve this issue, the shoes would be a big success. The local marine store carries many styles of XtraTuf shoes but, not this one. Now I see why.
