Everything you need comes with it. I have not set up the WI-FI yet. Once you turn it on it does everything for you and its default setting. Other ones I have owned I had to manually turn on/off the lights/pump. This one I just set up and it does it all! Only need to add the water, even comes with a package of seeds to start. I have now purchased a total of 4 and gifted 2 of them. Best product out there for the price. The packaging was GREAT. Double-boxed, and styrofoam to protect everything.     • Good value, but a little challenging to setup.
I have both iDoo and the Amorning hydroponic systems. Both get the job done. I like the Amorning's deep reservoir and the tall height capability. Big plants need room and lots of water. I am doing only 2 tomato plants in it this year. The unit really wants to be run via WiFi. I fought it until I finally put it on our wifi network. It didn't join right away and took a few tries for the smart home app to find it. Programming was a bit of a challenge until I got the hang of it. Then it was easy. The manual is ok, but not deep. I don't like the fertilizer provided. It is quite hot and strong when applied as directed. There is very little documentation on this. I tried using their provided tool for reading the ppm concentration but it is a toy. I got a good one and found the one that came with the system was off by a lot. That was burning the plants. I dumped out all the water and started over with the new tester and the iDoo fertilizer. That worked fine. The only other nitpick is that the fan is quite noisy. This system worked fantastic for me because I'm a beginner. I have grown four different lettuces and two tomatoes. Working on peppers. The app is not the best, and hard to use, but the actual system, I have no complaints.

    • Electrical system failures
Bought a first one got it planted, had a power outage from a big storm and this little garden was the only thing that didn't come back on. No matter what I did. So returned it (because I was still in my return window) and got a replacement and it worked perfectly, for about 2 months and then sometime this morning with no sign of a power outage or anything the lights turned themselves off and this one is also completely dead electrically. So it's sitting in the window to get light until I can come up with a better solution. Edit: Manufacturer customer service was non-existent or else unacceptably slow ( so -1 star from the original 2 star review). Phone number in manual couldn't take calls and e-mail sent to the address in the manual is unanswered after a week. Amazon product support (after a false start) has resolved the issue to my satisfaction. ... show more

If you are looking for a hydroponic growing system than look no further. This one works on its own or with the app. I grew lettuce first and it germinates in 1-2 days. It has been 22 days and I can start using the lettuce for meals. I am in love with this system!!

Came fast, but no instructions to put together but mostly common sense. I didn't get the seeds that were supposed to come in the package with it, they were missing. Overall a instruction manual would be nice!

The media could not be loaded. AMORNING hydroponic system can be set to turn on and off at any time with the app, which is very nice. The initial seeds in the hydroponic system germinate quickly.
