We bought this to hang from the pergola on our back patio. I've been VERY hesitant as I am VERY careful when buying furniture items being a BIG guy 6'3 400'. I've sat on swings I thought were going to just fold under me, this is not one of those. This swing is SOLID, the chain seems thin when you look at it but so far not even the slightest issue. Easy to assemble with 2 people (to have someone hold together while the other puts bolts on). If you're not sure about length of chain, just call or email the manufacturer. they are fantastic! FYI Chain is gold color so if you want it to match beware of that distinction. ... show more

Easy to assemble the once you purchase the swing hanging kit. I also purchased additional chains to make the swing hang lower. It’s comfortable. I added the cord cover to hide the chains. Got them from hobby lobby.

Bought the swing as a wedding anniversary gift for my wife. She absolutely loves it! It was easy to assemble, very sturdy, and looks beautiful (see photo). It does take a few weeks to receive after you place your order as stated in the product description. The swing arrived in perfect condition - the internal packaging ensured there was no damage during transit. Not sure if the cup holders are necessary - they are fairly shallow and are small diameter (a soda can would fit well, but a taller glass or bottle may be hazardous). I selected the cedar stain. I compared similar swings and read many reviews before making a decision. Most reviews were about kids enjoying their swing, kid friendly, etc. I wanted a sturdy swing that would hold husky grown men (and women) comfortably. This swing advertising heavy duty 800 lb outshined the competition. The cup holders were a great bonus too. My husband put it together with minimal effort within 20 mins. It’s a 2 person job lifting the swing and hooking the chains to the tree/straps. Having an extra pair of hands makes it easier to hold it level and reach the height desired. I’d suggest using a bench cushion or blanket if you’re worried about splinters or clothes getting snagged. Some of the slats could’ve used a bit more sanding. Time will tell if this soy-based semi-transparent wood stained tree swing holds up to Florida weather. On a side note, I’m considering adding padlocks to lock the straps to the chain/Carabiner to secure my investment from theft since its hanging in our front yard. Better safe than sorry. I am a bit slow on assembly but this went fairly well. I had a problem on getting a couple of the bolts through their holes and that slowed me down. I finally used a hammer to drive them through. I hoped to used an electric drill with a screwdriver bit to make it easier but could not find a bit to fit the head, which was surprising and disappointing. I have arthritis and it is hard for me to use a manual screwdriver. Once we had it installed the swing is very attractive and comfortable. As someone else noted, the cupholders are not designed to hold large cups. My wife had one topple over when she had it in the cupholder. Sturdy strong, well built...what's there not to love? Took me 25 minutes to assemble the few parts as most came already assembled. It is important to get strong hangars and definitely get the 2 heavy duty springs as well. This item rates an easy 5 stars. Below is the links for the 2 parts. To add some kick I got some green garland to hide the chain and add visual appeal. The 5' cushions were more expensive than I thought they would be but due to being outside they use a heavy duty fabric. It is important to spray both sides & your pillows with heavy duty rain repellant yearly. IMO I hope this review helped you. This is a great addition to our first home! We’ve spent hours on our porch watching the humming birds and song birds from this swing. It’s very comfortable. It seems sturdy enough to last at least a few years, probably more once we polyurethane it. The warranty isn’t promising but we don’t plan on doing anything crazy. The chains are also pretty short. Not intended for high/porch ceilings I had to use a two step step ladder the first day. Bought new chains from Atwood’s(cheaper than online) The cup holders were a bit rough around the edges and not large enough to hold our coffee mugs so we cut the holes bigger and knocked out a slot for the handles and sanded them a bit more. Now it’s absolutely perfect! I definitely recommend! ... show more
