so I got these in and after reading some reviews about the how to use the springs, I thought I would chime in with my experience. Not aall can light housings are the same. In my case, my housing has 2 springs to hold the flute and ceiling plate in place. Remove the two springs and that assembly drops free of the can light housing. Inside of mine on either side are two metal tabs that are typically bent flush with the housing when not used. All you do is bend those back with a screw driver and gently bend the tips more inward to retain the retention springs on the replacement light. So Bend the tabs out, place one side of the light springs on the INSIDE of those retainer tabs, plug the light in, switch the color temp you want and then flex the second set of springs on the tabs and gently push light up flush to ceiling. All done. Takes me 2 min per light to install. Hope that helps readers who are stuck on the install concerns.

Update: Amico contacted me and I provided a picture of the cans. I was inserting the springs into the slots and not using the clips within the can (circled in red). Like two other reviews I am completely dissatisfied with the springs used to hold the lights in the can, they are way too weak to support the weight of the lights. I have 6" cans and the lights would not fit flush to the ceiling. Most if the ones I first tried hung about 1.5" from the ceiling. So, what I had to do was take the springs from the old baffles and place them in the lights and them attache the springs to the cans, like the old baffles. The lights themselves are nice, the 3 color temperatures are nice. The lights were much brighter than our old 65 watt led floods. My wife even noticed the difference. But, if the lights do not stay in the housing (cans) then they are practically useless. If you don't want to modify them like I did, which takes longer to install, and your cans are 6" (maybe the 5" work better), you may not want these. I had purchased a different brand once at Ollie's discount store and they stayed in the cans just fine.

Items arrived on time and installation was very quick. In my house, at different places I use different temperatures: some places day light and other places soft white. Having these settings in the same light is a very cool feature so that I don't need to go and buy different set of light bulbs. I installed lights in all 3 different settings at different locations in the house and very happy with the lumen it provides. Overall very happy with the purchase and I highly recommend this light bulbs.

I bought the Sunnco brand as well, and to my surprise, this one was superior. I liked the design, the brightness, and found the material to be more durable and scratch free compared to Sunnco, which appeared too slick and prone to scratching. The only challenge was during installation because the lights were not sticking flush to the cieling, but luckily I found a solution, and that is to shake the light right and left while slowly pushing it up into the ceiling hole. You might need to adjust the cieling brackets as well as needed. Very happy with the end results.

Lights seemed well made. My can lights are 6" outer diameter and about 5" inner diameter. It turns out these will not fit because my "about 5" inner diameter can is actually more like 4 7/8". This light needs an inner diameter minimum of 5 inches to fit up into the can because the mounting ears are 5 inches apart and stick up into the can. I am giving this 4 stars because they really could have made them fit a "5 inch" can. My mistake and since I waited too long to install them, my return window expired. My mistake that hopefully can save someone else from making one.

I read many reviews before choosing these Amico LED Recessed Lights for Retrofit Installation and I'm extremely delighted by my choice. Pros: 1) 12 pack came in nicely packaged and organized. 2) Great price per light. 3) Installation was easy if your can lights have notches for the snap springs. Mine did. I installed 20 of them quickly. I watched the installation video and found it to be very helpful. I recommend installing the E26 adapter into the socket first then attaching the light. Doing that prevented twisting of the connector. 4) Every light sat flush and tight against the ceiling. 5) Every LED light was spot on and came on instantaneously. I like the 3CCT options and will be fine-tuning them later. I'll also be installing dimmers later and will see how these lights function. In my opinion, this was the easiest and most affordable upgrade for my lighting needs.
