The media could not be loaded. This is Ameta's second drone, and not only represents a significant upgrade to their freshman effort but also hints at directions yet to come from the company. The label S20 Lite obviously implies that there will be a more robust version down the road. Being a reasonably small quadcopter, the S20 Lite is slightly smaller than my palm when the legs are folded in. Her body size is perfect for both indoor and low-wind outdoor flying but be advised that even with the brushless motors she still will struggle in moderately heavy winds from around 8 mph and up. The drone is essentially an upscale beginner model, with a small body that makes indoor flight manageable. The brushless motors are reasonably quiet and very responsive. It hovers beautifully and the batteries deliver a long life, not QUITE as long as advertised (I put mine in a hover and it flew for 14 minutes before a low-battery warning sounded, and a minute later it self-landed. So 15 minutes flight time total per battery). There is one MAJOR standout feature here worth pointing out. The advertising claims a 4K camera. This is TRUE. The still photos are high resolution, and the video clocks in at (are you sitting down for this???) 2,048 X 1,088 resolution (true 2K) at 6,466 kbps bit rate and 30.32 FPS! Finally, a beginner level drone with gorgeous video! And how does that video come to be? Because the drone has a slot on one side for a micro-SD card, which is a feature I've NEVER seen on a drone at this level prior to this! I can't overstate how big a deal this is in getting better quality video out of your flights. Video streamed to your phone by definition HAS to be a lower grade quality just to accommodate the Wi-Fi signal. But now you can get the video straight from the camera! If there IS a downside, it's that the impressive video is coming from a camera that is hard mounted to the drone, not on a stabilizing gimbal. That means that the video will be a bit jumpier than you might want, especially in those windy flights. Another awesome feature that I have wanted to see incorporated in drones is a beeper sound if the drone should get lost. As the Ameta S20 Lite has an operational control and video range of approx. 200 meters (around 650 feet) if you should lose contact with it a beeper would go a long way toward finding it. I can tell you I lost a couple of drones last month and that would have definitely saved them. I can't wait to see what Ameta comes up with next. this is a really solid vehicle, and I strongly recommend it.

I was very impressed with this beginner drone. I own two other drones and found this one quite easy to get started. I found the directions quite straightforward, and the required app for phone/camera interface has worked flawlessly. Pairing was easy and has never failed. The drone is quite responsive in flight, although heed the “lightweight” description. Flying in any significant wind will be challenging. In the absence of wind, the drone hovers in place very well even while pivoting. The camera/phone interface works well. Adjusting the camera in flight can result in some choppy motion, but I’m very satisfied with the overall picture quality. Battery life is about what I expected in this price range. Two batteries are included and it’s easy to install/remove them from the drone. They also charge relatively quickly (< 2 hours). I love the included carrying case. It’s fantastic to have everything neatly tucked into a sweet little case. It’s so handy just to pick it up and head out the door. I’d pay careful attention to the product description stating this is “for Adults.” While, okay, I think teens would be fine with the product, it’s definitely not for kids. This is not a toy and (in case it’s not clear) definitely designed for outdoor use. The price seems reasonable for a drone of this quality. The only thing left to add is just how much fun it is flying this little drone. It’s a blast! And highly recommended!

This drone is a lot of fun. It does come with two batteries (Chargeable by USB-C) and replacement propellers. It is very easy to set up and start flying. The flight interface on the app is a little confusing at first. The remote control (Which needs 3 AAA batteries) is easy to figure out though. The camera is actually very nice. It takes good pictures. There is an option to put a mini SD card in and extract pics that way. I did not go with that option. The pictures I took were still nice. The drone is very light. It flies nicely indoors and is easy to follow with the camera. I had it outdoors with a slight breeze. It did not do so well with the wind. It gets blown around very easily. I would have given a better overall rating if it did better outdoors. Although it is easy to set up and start flying I will admit I crashed it a few times. It has held up nicely even after the crashes. Overall, I would recommend if you're looking to get a drone. It is a good entry price. Especially for kids. It is a nicer than the cheaper ones sold in stores.

It comes with some accessories I have in other drones, extra batteries, spare props and a hard cover carry case. It is easy to set up and use, It can handle a few crashes well, I haven't sustained any damage from the few errors I have had [me and the controller don't see i2i in direction movement of the stick]. This drone I was pretty brave with and took it higher than I have some others, but I realized very quick that the breeze on the ground was a bit harder higher up. The drone waffled around a little in the wind so I dropped it very quick to a point that it hovered better and observed the area. The video was nice and stable, and very clear. It was a lot more stable than some of my recent drone purchases and the extra flight time is a plus.
