The media could not be loaded. I purchased this with a movers discount so I ended up paying about $155 for the stand. For the price, this suited all my needs. I've been looking for a tv stand with a built in-fireplace for some time and ended up buying this due to price point and size. My couch is a little on the lower side so I wanted a tvstand and fireplace combo that wasn't too high. At 22", this was the shortest so despite all the bad reviews I bought it anyway. Got it today and it took my husband and I about 3 hours to put it together. Pros- 1. We like the sleek design and open shelving. We also like that there were multiple shelving options on each side so we put two shelves on our riff and used the left to house our subwoofer (win!!). 2. Instructions are straightforward with labeled parts. 3. Heat function for fireplace is a quiet fanlike sound; not too loud or bothersome. 4. You can turn the heat off. Cons: knowing that "you get what you pay for," we were careful with the assembly of this product. 1. Some sides of the wood pieces were chipped, with the color white showing thru. The left edge of our stand was significantly chipped. We fixed it with a permanent black marker, which made the defects practically unnoticeable. 2. We had some issues with the predrilled holes not being drilled all the way, so a power drill was an easy solution. 3. The stand is a black laminate without any wood grain, so don't expect a faux wood grain looking-like stand. This wasn't a big deal for us at all. 4. For the fireplace, there isn't a remote and you cannot change the intensity of the fireplace or the heat. Again, this wasn't a big deal for us at all. The fireplace isn't crazy realistic looking either but it is still pretty to look at I can't comment on this stands ability to heat up a room since I have it for this summer so far, but he heat option does work fast. In a nutshell, despite the cons im very happy with this purchase. if you're renting this is a great option since the price is excellent and it doesn't weigh a ton. also modest in size for a smaller living room. ... show more

This tv stand is a great value for the price. It is obviously made of mdf but the completed stand is extremely sturdy. It looks more expensive than it is. I am a 50-something female and I was able to put it together by myself. There are a lot of pieces but everything is clearly labeled. The instructions are pictures only but easy to follow. It took me about 2 and a half hours to complete but I kept stopping to watch the football game. It's not hard to put together but it is very time consuming. It wouldn't have taken me as long to complete if I had waited on my husband to get home from work so that he could help me. A lot of the reviewers stated that their unit arrived damaged. My unit arrived in pristine condition. I only purchased the unit because I needed a tv stand and this stand is aesthetically gorgeous. Not happy with this product as soon as two months hit my fireplace is making loud noise, and I was told by a friend that he thinks it the motor going out. Wrote to the company about the problem and no answer! Very unhappy with this product I spent good money and I've only got one good month out of it. ... show more

This piece of furniture is not difficult to put together IF YOU FOLLOW THE pictures in the manual. Before you begin putting it together I will recommend the following... 1. Group the parts by laying them on the floor by the letters on the packets from A- N 2. Lay the screws and fasteners by their numbers 1-8 3. Make room for the installation. Have the right tools. ** Buy some good quality wood glue.** I glue the surfaces of the boards before I fasten them with the screws to guarantee the product not falling apart in future. Get a rug to wipe of excess glue*** Ps: I did the above for me,you may do same IF you so desire. 4. Spend a few minutes to go over the pictures before you commence putting pieces together. 5.Have fun :) putting it together. It took me 2 hours to complete. I love what I see but I haven't tested the heater yet. I will report on it in a couple of days. For the price it's not a bad investment. And it is sturdier than I thought.4 star for poor quality wood. ... show more

I love my new entertainment center! I set this up with the help of one person, though this can probably be done by one person with no issues. The hardest part was one of the last steps where you screw the fireplace into the structure, make sure you have a screwdriver with a thin handle because the gap is very narrow. The fireplace looks great and works great. Since it is the summer, we sometimes just turn on the visual fireplace effect without the heat function, but we have tested it out and it creates pretty good warmth. Does not look or feel cheap at all, great value for what I paid for it - but the price seems to have gone up veryyy significantly since I purchased. ... show more
